Sister Wives star Janelle Brown and her daughter Maddie Brown Brush started a business together called TAEDA Farms. TLC fans speculated on where she got the name from, and if there was a special meaning behind it. This week, she explained more about it. Read on to find out if fans had already guessed.

Janelle Brown Is Excited About Her Farm

The new business venture in North Carolina was a source of interest for Sister Wives fans. Additionally, other members of the TLC family posted about it. One of the biggest questions from fans was whether they could go there and pick or get their own cut flowers. Maddie Brown Brush said that they plan to do that by next spring, or at the latest by the following spring.

Meanwhile, others wondered about the name. Gwendlyn posted about the place when she and Beatriz Queiroz visited it. While she didn’t mention how the name arose for Janelle Brown’s flower farm, we guessed that it might be named after one of Janelle’s favorite trees: the Pinus Taeda, A.K.A. Loblolly Pine tree. This week, Maddie Brown Brush’s mom took to the TAEDA Farms Instagram account and shared why she chose the name. Additionally, she confirmed that it was, indeed, named after the Loblolly Pine tree. Plus, she confirmed why she incorporated the name into her new brand.

Janelle Brown wrote in her caption:

WHAT’S IN THE NAME[?]

🌲Pinus taeda is commonly known as loblolly pine.📏 The loblolly pine grows to a height of 60-90’ and a spread of 25-35’ at maturity.💡Taeda is Latin for torch or light.❤️ We fell in love with the land and knew we had to build something beautiful.👚We love all the loblolly trees and had to incorporate them into our brand.
