Sister Wives stars Janelle Brown, her daughter, Maddie Brown Brush, and her husband, Caleb purchased a piece of land in North Carolina and they intend to use it for a flower farm. But is TAEDA Farms a flop before it even gets off the ground?
Janelle Brown & Maddie Brown Brush Will Succeed?
As soon as TLC fans heard about the proposed flower farm, they wanted to know when they could visit and cut their own flowers. At the time, Maddie Brown Brush told them that it might happen in the spring. But, if not the coming spring, in the following spring. However, it might take a lot longer than that, if ever.
As much as Sister Wives fans love Janelle Brown, some of them had some doubts about the farm ever working out. At the end of October, TLC fans who are well used to the ways of Kody Brown’s dreams coming to nothing wondered if TAEDA Farms would be a successful project. Actually, some of them wondered if it would produce anything more than some merch and t-shirts. And, it seems they were not far off the mark.
Janelle Brown Runs Into Problems
Maddie Brown Brush seems to be the one who maintains the website for TAEDA farms, and she also runs the blog which gives updates. This week’s update was not at all encouraging. In the long post, she mentioned how she needs a lot of “patience.” The main issue seems to be that they didn’t research the planning stages very well.
Janelle Brown’s daughter told her readers that she had no idea that the government takes so long to do things. And, she also said in part:
Did you know the Army Corps of Engineers checks for wetlands and habitats before you can build? Because I didn’t…They want to ensure we’re not disturbing ecosystems or wetlands…This whole process has been one giant game of “check it again.” Permitting, zoning, surveying—it all gets reviewed, revised, and re-checked…
There was more about needing patience and the various steps the Sister Wives stars need to go through before they even start building. So, TLC fans wondered why Janelle Brown and Maddie hadn’t researched it before announcing their plans.
Sister Wives Fans Discuss Lack of Research
Fans of Janelle Brown discussed the post by Maddie Brown Brush and her admissions that they were unprepared for all the red tape. Here are some of their thoughts on why it might flop before it starts:
- Did these people really buy 200 acres and plan to start a farm without researching anything beyond “I am going to start a farm.”? lol.
- Been side eyeing this since they announced it. Wetlands in NC host fragile ecosystems and the process to gain permission to develop is arduous. It should be. This, at least here in eastern NC, is common knowledge. Any realtor would know this. The government agencies have extensive info on their websites and Google is easy to use.
- It does not surprise me that these people did not get all the information before they purchased this land, not that I actually or fully believe they will pull this off. Ever since I heard it was wetlands property, I have been really confused about how they’re going to make this work. It seems like this is just another typical Brown family idea in a long line of bad and poorly thought out/researched ideas
What are your thoughts about Maddie Brown Brush, Caleb, and Janelle Brown not researching before they planned to start a flower farm in a wetland area in North Carolina? Did you half-expect that it might never happen? Do you hope that somehow, it will eventually work out? After all, it seems like a nice idea.
