As Hallmark Mystery wraps up its 2024 Miracles of Christmas, the final movie in the lineup, Trading Up Christmas, which stars Italia Ricci and Michael Xavier, is set to debut soon.

Trading Up Christmas centers on Michelle (Ricci) who helps her sister find a new house for Christmas by trading things for greater amounts. A local journalist shares her journey, which catapults the community to stand behind her.
As per TV Insider, Michelle is someone with big dreams who always has ideas and views the world as an amazing place. Still, her family isn’t overly enthusiastic to place their hopes on her whimsical aspirations.
They see the world as a place that’s filled with struggle and pain, so Michelle is often seen as the ‘black sheep’ of the family. With that said, she refuses to allow this negativity to change her perception.
So, when Michelle comes up with an idea to help her sister, Keri, it’s immediately rejected. As Keri will be homeless come February, Michelle comes up with an idea inspired by a guy who traded a rubber band and wound up with a home. It did take him two years, but Michelle is determined to do it by the time Christmas hits.
Dan (Xavier), a local reporter, is intrigued by Michelle’s story and starts to follow her as she gains momentum. He also begins to see the world differently – through Michelle’s hopeful eyes.
The feel-good holiday flick is set to premiere on Hallmark Mystery come Thursday, December 19, at 8 p.m., Eastern. Peacock subscribers can stream the film 72 hours after the premiere.
As Trading Up Christmas is the last of Hallmark Mystery’s 2024 Miracles of Christmas movies, the channel will simply repeat some of the 2024 holiday films already released, for the rest of the season, as well as some past favorites, too.
