If you don’t know, the land that Maddie, Caleb, and her mom turn into a flower farm looks like it takes a lot of work. Maddie told her TLC fans that “there’s a lot of sweat, dirt, and trial and error.” Certainly, it doesn’t seem as if they purchased an existing flower farm, but one day, they will allow visitors to pick their own flowers there. In the meantime, they are selling T-shirts.

Sister Wives fans saw that Gwendlyn Brown threw in support for the project. On Instagram this week, Gwen and Beatriz Queiroz posed in a wooded area and the caption said:

if you haven’t checked it out yet, this is your sign! @madison_rose11 and @janellebrown117 are building beauty from the ground up @taedafarms

TLC fans loved the photo and plenty of comments arrived. But one Sister Wives fan asked Gwendlyn Brown, what TAEDA “stands for.”

Was TAEDA Inspired By Janelle’s Passion?

Unfortunately, when TLC fans ask what TAEDA means, nobody answers. But, it is possible that something Janelle Brown did years ago inspired the name. On July 10, 2020,  the Sister Wives star shared about doing a class on indigenous plants. She told her fans, “I was with a class group today. We’ve been studying the local native plants and were doing some field identification.”

As Gwendlyn Brown didn’t reply to the question about TAEDA Farms, some research suggests that Janelle might have named the farm after a tree. According to NCSU, Pinus Taeda, A.K.A Loblolly Pine trees are naturally found in North Carolina. Perhaps her interest in trees helped to inspire the name of the NC farm.

Janelle’s trademarked tagline for her business is “Building beauty from the ground up.” Well, the Pinus Taeda is described as having “the most rapid growth rate of all pines and may grow 60 to 90 feet tall.” And they do build beauty from the ground up. Often, they may be planted in rural subdivisions, although they can be a fire hazard.

What are your thoughts on what TAEDA might stand for? Do you think that it might be inspired by the Pinus Taeda trees? Have you heard of a different explanation? Are you surprised that Gwendlyn Brown ignored the question? Shout out in the comments below,  and come back here often for all your Sister Wives news, updates, and soilers.
