‘Golden Bachelor’ Gerry Turner Lands Job As Talent Judge

Golden Bachelor alum Gerry Turner disappointed ABC fans but he still has a following of 150K fans who seemed happy that he landed a job as a judge for a talent show. Should Simon Cowell be stepping aside? Read on to find out what’s going on with Theresa Nists’s ex. 

Gerry Turner Lands A Few Gigs

Before the divorce from Theresa Nist, it seemed that the first senior Bachelor was on a heady road to more fame. Well, he isn’t doing anything spectacular, and he isn’t about to dislodge Ryan Seacrest on Wheel of Fortune. But, his manager does manage to land him a few gigs. 

Mainly, he’s been spotted at events in his home state of Indiana. However, the Golden Bachelor alum managed to attend one that drew an audience from Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. Being a celebrity in one state seems like a big step in the right direction for everyday retirees. So, it might have been a big night for Gerry Turner. 

Golden Bachelor Judges A Talent Show

Perhaps you heard of a show called “So You Think You’ve Got Talent.” Whether it was a fun evening at the local high school or college, events do happen under the title from time to time. Anyway, the photos that the ABC alum shared on Instagram this weekend revealed he’d been judging the talent show produced by Josh Ogle.

The Facebook page for the talent competition revealed that the Judges included Camryn Leatherman, Todd Sandman Cruz, and Gerry Turner. Held at the  Strauss Theatre near downtown Kendallville, Emcee Craig Munk seemed to have done a great job. 

On Instagram, Gerry Turner told his Golden Bachelor fans:

Judging the “So You Think You’ve Got Talent” competition last night was an honor and a tremendous amount of fun. The talent was off the charts. Congratulations to the winners.

Not too many comments arrived, probably because the post went up at night. Still, some ABC fans saw the photos and they liked that their Golden Bachelor had participated. Here are a few observations:

• That must have been so much fun to see all the talent!
• Oh that’s so cool!! I bet that was fun! Congrats to the winners!!!
• Good job! I wish you the best!
• Fun!! And looks like you are staying super busy with a fabulous life!!

For this year’s winner, Reilly Shull, it might be a special memory to treasure in years to come because she met a reality TV star from the ABC franchise.
