GH Wild Speculation: Trina’s Dark Twist, Role Reversal As Esme Picks A Path?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is a fan-favorite character who has battled Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) for ages.

Esme needs to pick a path now that she’s had a total recall. Esme seems to be going back toward the dark side, but Laura Collins (Genie Francis) could intercept.

Plus, soap rivalries often do a “role reversal,” so it might be time for Trina to embrace her inner bad as Esme fights the temptation to revert to her old ways.

GH spoilers reveal that Esme recently remembered all of her sins, including setting Trina up to take the fall for Josslyn Jacks (temporarily played by Courtney Fulk) and Cameron Webber’s (Michael Lipton) passion tape.

However, Esme wasn’t a mother to Ace Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay) then, either. A lot has happened to help form and shape Esme’s new reality. At the same time, Esme probably feels like her DNA makes her evil.

Heather Webber (Alley Mills) was pretty thrilled to see that glint in Esme’s eyes. While Esme does look for approval, it doesn’t seem she’s completely on board to being a full baddie again.

During the week of January 1, fans will see Laura have a realization about Esme. Perhaps Laura will catch Esme in a lie.

Maybe Laura will realize that Esme is somehow different, as if she remembered everything. If Laura suspects that Esme is facing a crossroads, she will try to steer her in the right direction if possible.

It seems that it’s now time for Esme to fall somewhere in the middle. However, where does that leave Trina?

Trina has never forgiven nor forgotten Esme’s frame job. Trina went through an awful lot through that ordeal, so it’s understandable that she will never forgive Esme.

At the same time, soap characters tend to flip flop. Trina has been “good” for quite some time now. It might be time for Trina to turn a bit dark.

Perhaps when she comes back from her opportunity in Paris, Esme as well as Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) might be seeing a whole new Trina.
