General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest the land of Port Charles is set to get a new face. Soap opera legend Eva LaRue will be joining the show playing Blaze’s (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) mom, Natalia Rogers-Ramirez. Her official airdate is set for Monday, February 26th.

GH spoilers tease that Natalia could stir up the drama for both Blaze and her “secret” romantic partner, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi). Meanwhile, LaRue has had quite a career in soaps, debuting in Santa Barbara in 1988, playing Margot Collins.

After that role, she jumped into Pine Valley, playing Maria Santos on All My Children (AMC) in 1993. While she exited AMC in 1997 (making a brief appearance in 1998), she returned to the show from 2002 to 2005; going on to make sporadic visits in 2010 and 2011, until the show was canceled.

The actress last appeared in a daytime soap from 2019 to 2020 when she played the mother of Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), and Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) on the Young and the Restless (Y&R). She ended up winning a Daytime Emmy for this in 2020, in the Outstanding Guest Performer category.

The interesting thing about LaRue’s arrival on GH is the fact that she has so many former AMC co-stars on set; she’ll likely settle in well, right away.

From Michael E. Knight (current Martin Grey, ex-Tad Martin) to Cameron Mathison (current Drew Cain, ex-Ryan Lavery), and Finola Hughes (Anna Devane); it may feel like a homecoming of sorts for Eva!

It’ll be interesting to see the dynamic between her, Blaze, and Kristina. After all, Blaze hasn’t come out to her family yet, and with her mom in town, she’s sure to be on edge.
