GH Spoilers: Will Sasha’s Urging For Truth Turn The Tide For Cody And Mac?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers spill Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) has been pushing for Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) to tell Mac Scorpio (John J. York) the truth about their father-son connection since the moment she learned he had actually lied about it.

Sasha has stuck by Cody throughout this process, gently encouraging him to come clean along the way.

She wants him to have the father she thinks he deserves, and she can’t imagine that Mac and his family won’t embrace Cody just as soon as the dust settles from his not-so-little white lie. Is she right though? That’s the anxiety that is eating Cody alive and holding him back from telling the truth.

General Hospital Spoilers — This Is One Forgiving Family

The Scorpio-Jones clan is a force to be reckoned with. They love each other, and they readily welcome anyone into the fold who can equally respect all of them.

When Felicia suspected that Cody was really Mac’s son and went to the great length of doing a covert DNA test to double-check, Sasha grew wise to her plan and intervened to switch the results.

Learning about that deception and how she covered for Cody to keep them in the dark just might be harder for them to forgive than Cody’s original lie.

Still, we have to think back on all the mistakes Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and others have made, and we recognize Mac and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) were able to forgive and forget every time. Will this time around be an exception to the rule?

GH Spoilers – Reveal Cody Bell Never Fails to Disappoint

Earlier this week, we heard Sasha relay to Cody just how much she sympathizes with him. She truly does know what it feels like to be in his shoes.

Having lied to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about being her long-lost biological daughter, when she had to come clean, it broke her heart knowing what she did to Nina.

She had come to actually care about her, and she didn’t expect that going into things. Cody is slightly different.

He already really liked Mac upon taking that DNA test, but he didn’t think he deserved a father like Mac, and he didn’t think he would be able to avoid disappointing him as his son. So he lied.

Of course, there was also that matter of wanting the loot that came with everyone thinking he was Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia). Will Mac be able to overlook that faux pas, or will it come as the biggest disappointment yet?

Of course, Sasha and Maxie are pretty tight. After being friends and business partners for this long, it goes without saying that Maxie might have expected more transparency on Sasha’s part when it comes to her stepbrother.

Learning that Cody knew all along he was Mac’s son and kept that truth to himself is going to hurt. Maxie thinks the word of her bonus dad and she doesn’t take kindly to anyone hurting him or her mother, Felicia.

At the same time, it’s going to sting that Sasha kept this from Maxie instead of confiding in her and trusting her to handle it.

Whether Mac and Cody can bounce back from this is one thing, but will Maxie be able to forgive Sasha for co-signing another lie that harmed someone she loves so much?
