Ned is always thinking outside the box, but he often takes things too far and gets too personal where business is at hand.
When Elaine shows up with proof that Drew and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) are having an affair, will that dirt even work to his advantage, or will Drew decide coming clean is the best option?
We sure hope he would consider Willow in making that decision. However, if Ned’s plan works, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is going to want an explanation from Drew.
Nothing is more important to Ned than the family business. Sure, it should be family alone — and Drew is part of that — but it’s never worked that way with the majority of the men in the Quartermaine crew.
The way Ned sees it, protecting ELQ is paramount because it has built the Q family into what they are and sustains their lifestyle and security. If that falls, they’d all be out of their behinds, theoretically.
So when Ned gets evidence from Elaine that Willow and Drew are indeed hooking up in some capacity, he will relish the opportunity to stick it to Drew.
Ned will have all the leverage he needs to sinisterly request that Drew sidestep the family business altogether and take himself out of it.
Will he insist that Drew merely step out of the way, or might he use this to his full advantage and even tell him that unless he hands over his shares, Ned will tell Michael the truth?
Will Drew risk the family business and leave Michael in the lurch all to protect his relationship with Willow and her marriage to his nephew?
One thing is for certain. When Drew suddenly does an about face and goes against everything he and Michael planned for ELQ, it’s going to leave his nephew quite perplexed.
This news won’t make any sense to Willow either. It’s not likely that Drew will loop her in on what is going on before he starts pulling punches to comply with Ned’s demands.
Feeling he has no choice — especially if he wants to win the upcoming election without a scandal in the press dragging him backward in the polls — he’ll have to keep a lid on this. He doesn’t want to cause further anxiety for Willow either.
But if she sees that Drew is about to forsake ELQ and his shares in it for her, she might beat him to the punch and take away Ned’s leverage by coming clean with Michael. Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers.
