GH Spoilers: Will Lucy Continue To Pine For Marty, Or is New Love In The Air This Spring?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers report Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) has been reeling ever since Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) left town with their relationship shattered into pieces.

The look on his face when he walked into the room and saw Lucy unkempt and clearly regretting the afterglow of having just been with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) said it all.

Devastated, Marty hightailed it out of town without so much as a goodbye to the woman he claimed to love.

Not knowing when — or if — he will come back, Lucy will soon be faced with a brutal choice. Does she continue pining for Marty and hoping he comes back around and forgives her, or does she move on when the opportunity to fall in love again presents itself?

Lucy’s judgment may have faltered when she thought Marty was done with her. Falling into bed — or in this case, hay — with Scott was the last thing she wanted to do. In fact, for months, Scott was pushing Lucy in that direction and she resisted.

The thought of rekindling something with him made her uncomfortable. For once in her life, Lucy was finally committed to one person and only wanted Marty.

Still, she was never trying to break Scott’s heart or make him feel rejected, but it seems that’s exactly what she’s done after all. The OG fans may have wept when she cried over Marty instead of embracing a reunion with Scott, but her heart wasn’t in it.

GH Spoilers – Tease Lucy Coe Also Loves Love

Lucy might be aching to see Marty again, but it can’t compare to just how much she simply wants to feel loved and desired again. Sure, someone new might feel uncomfortable at first.

She’s used to Marty. She thought he was the man she would spend the rest of her life with. Nothing can truly keep Lucy away from falling in love when the opportunity presents itself.

So, with Marty away, will she succumb to him being out of sight and out of mind, much the way she did when she fell into Scott’s arms to escape the reality of her heartbreak?

Of course, some of us are hoping that Lucy comes to her “senses” and gives Scott a fair shake at wooing her. Look at all he’s done for her.

Lucy is aware their deal to get back at Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was quite a honeypot for him, too. It doesn’t only benefit her.

So she may not perceive Scott’s silliness to set Tracy up and cash in as altruism or a sign of his love for her.
