General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Steve Burton has returned to the role of the iconic Jason Morgan.

This comes on the heels of Steve’s expired one-year contract with Days of Our Lives and his self-announced exit from the show. Does Jason’s return mean that Jason and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will finally reunite?

General Hospital Spoilers – Sam McCall Is With Dante Falconeri

General Hospital Spoilers reveal that Sam has been with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) for some time now. However, Sam has been in love with Jason for years.

Jason was presumed dead after being caught in a collapse in the tunnels on Cassadine Island. No body was ever found but there were also no signs of life when the tunnels were searched.

Sam and Dante have moved in together and combined their families into one. Sam and Dante seem to be happy with their children and Sam’s son has faced the fact that his father is gone for good, again.

Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) has accepted Dante as a father figure and looks up to him. After all, Jason has spent very little time in Danny’s life at all.

GH Spoilers – Sam McCall And Jason Morgan Were A Super Couple

Sam and Jason were a fan favorite from the time they were beginning to know each other. Sam and Jason had a huge fan base long before they were actually a couple.

Steve and Kelly worked very hard to make their relationship believable and it worked very well. Sam and Jason were separated in 2007 but reunited in 2009 as a stronger couple.

By the time Jason and Sam decided to get married, there was extensive coverage of the event with special videos featuring the couple.

Articles in different magazines celebrating the event and even a billboard in Times Square.

The birth of their son was celebrated as well even though they believed the child was Franco Baldwin’s (ex-Roger Howarth) at one time.

Fans are thrilled to have Jason back and a big reason for that is that Jasam fans want a reunion. Jason was all about Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) before but even Kelly Monaco says that Jasam was the endgame.

Monaco told Soaps in Depth, “I’ve had multiple relationships on the show but ultimately, in my mind, Sam and Jason were always the end game. In their love for each other, no affairs or other relationships or time apart or whatever could ever have come between them.”

Now that Burton is back, will this fan-favorite couple pick up where they left off in 2012 before Burton left and reunite their family?
