GH Spoilers: Will Ava’s Offer To Help Portia Pan Out In Her Favor — Or Not?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers gush Ava Jerome (Maura West) came to Dr. Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) office out of apparent concern that she not be caught committing a crime. Portia tampered with Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) lab work results, and it was evident to Ava right away.

Emphasizing that it only took her a minute to put the pieces of this mystery together, panic sank in for Portia as she realized Ava was probably right. While it seems like these two may be able to keep the truth under wraps, if they don’t, it could work out just as poorly for Ava as it does for Portia.

General Hospital Spoilers — Portia Robinson Gives In

Portia has been hesitant to open up and let Ava help her. She is keen on keeping it an airtight secret that she is solely responsible for fudging those test results in an effort to sabotage Heather’s case. No matter what, Portia doesn’t want Heather going free.

At the same time, Ava probably doesn’t want to see Portia go down for this, but that could change if she comes to see Portia’s potential absence in Trina’s life as a way for her to scoop up the young girl as a surrogate mom to her.

So when Portia confides in Ava and admits to what she has done, she better be careful and trust that Ava truly is on her side. We know better. Ava is always on whatever side serves Ava best, and that could change.

GH Spoilers – Hint Ric Lansing Makes Ava Jerome A Compelling Offer

Right now, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) is promising Ava that he doesn’t need to know who the person she is protecting.

Her friend will stay safe as far as Ric is concerned. But when circumstances of the case change and he is required to prove why the GH lab results were faulty, he’s going to be singing a different tune.

Given that Ric is also representing Ava in both her criminal and civil custody case, he could make things harder for her if she doesn’t give up the goods.

Likewise, he could go the extra mile to secure her freedom and full custody if she complies with what he needs in Heather’s case — a name: Portia.

General Hospital Spoilers — A High Price To Pay

In the end, Ava may end up paying a much steeper price than she ever imagined when Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) finds out the truth.

Ric may never have thought twice about the GH lab results if Ava hadn’t pointed out that the discrepancy might not have been a mistake but an intentional form of sabotage.

If Ric feels like looking into this, it’s not going to take him longer to figure out the connection Ava made in her own mind. Portia was the doctor to take Heather’s blood that day, and she has been very vocal about not wanting Heather to go free from prison.

Given Ava’s proximity to her via Trina, it makes sense she might want to protect her, but not if she’s going to pay for Portia’s mistakes too just by covering them up. When Trina learns that Ava alerted Ric to this corruption, and potentially that she gave her mother up, will she ever forgive Ava?
