General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) recently caused mixed emotions among fans when Jason and Anna kissed.

With all of the chaos going on in Port Charles recently, fans seem to be stuck on one point, where did that kiss come from? Anna is a cop and Jason is once again, Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) right hand man.

What are they doing kissing? This whole thing seems almost incestuous to some fans considering that Jason dated Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) year ago.

Technically, Anna should be almost old enough to be Jason’s mother, there aren’t that many years between him and Robin’s ages.

Has Anna suddenly turned into the cougar of Port Charles? Was the kiss just for show since the two of them were undercover? What was this all about and why did that kiss happen?

Burton eludes to the fact that Jason and Anna thought they were dying and what do people who are dying do? Normally they want to feel closer to the person they are with so that kiss wasn’t so far fetched.

Perhaps it was just a knee jerk reaction to the situation and nothing more. Burton admits that as actors, they had to wonder about the kiss themselves.

Anderson wonders, “Storywise, is there going to be something after this, or is this just like a flash in the pan? What are we building towards? Or are we not building to anything?” Burton doesn’t believe that the kiss should have been done if there is no meaning to it. It should not just be done for shock value.

Burton admits that he doesn’t believe that this is it, some great romantic story. Burton says, “I think maybe from the writers’ standpoint, Jason and Anna have had a good alliance. They have worked together well. “I don’t know if you’ve seen Jason go, ‘I think this is it.’ ” Jason was trying to console Anna.

Burton says they heard the guards coming and Jason chose to kiss her. Where do Anna and Jason go from here? Jason certainly isn’t looking for romance with a cop, that would make things so much more complicated. How would Jason explain a relationship with Anna to Robin? How could this relationship ever work out?
