General Hospital (GH) spoilers leak Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) seemed taken aback when Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) suggested he hand over the reins at Aurora Media entirely.
Their strained relationship has come a long way, but we didn’t think it had come so far that he jumps as soon as Nina says and as high as she wants him to.
Picking Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to be Acting CEO may have come as a big surprise and was flattering to Curtis, but the look on Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Deull) face when he found out was something entirely different.
Could it be that Michael is starting to pick up on some unusual vibes around Drew, particularly as it concerns his wife, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen)?
General Hospital Spoilers — It Just Makes Sense
Drew quickly explained his line of thinking as to why he chose Curtis. It made the most sense to him because, after all, if he loses the election, he’ll come right back to his role at the company anyway — having no need for Curtis to continue in it.
Furthermore, Drew emphasized the need for Michael’s attention to be on ELQ as they try to strongarm Ned Quarermaine (Wally Kurth) into helping them oust Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) from his shareholding position in the company — a move Ned clearly doesn’t want to make since Valentin is kind of his proxy.
Michael may understand the logic behind Drew’s decision, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t feeling some way about it.
GH Spoilers – Question Whether Drew Cain Is Really Trying To Move Forward
The finality in Drew’s words as he told Willow there was nothing going on between them and there never would be was clearly hard for her to digest.
Is he just putting on a brave face and hiding his feelings by burying himself in his campaign and spending any free time he has with her mother?
Nina sure has cozied up into the role of being his constant companion, and it clearly bothers Willow. Once Drew takes note of that, he may be singing a different tune.
Moreover, what will happen when Michael notices how unnerved Willow is by Nina’s canoodling with Drew?
General Hospital Spoilers — It All Comes Out In The Wash
For a while now, Michael has remained aloof to what’s really been going on between his wife and his cousin. Was Drew’s appointment of Curtis to the most important supporting role at Aurora a sign that he is shifting Michael to the sidelines in some way?
It might not make sense to Michael right now, but it could if he starts to figure out how Drew might really be feeling about him — like he’s in his way. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
