General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Tuesday, October 23 tease assigning blame, taking responsibility, and making explanations.

General Hospital Spoilers: Assigning Blame

At the Savoy, Ric has just left after making an announcement that the judge trying Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) case vacated it-meaning dropped the charges and Heather’s free.

That development doesn’t sit well with Curtis, and even less so with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) who endangered her job altering Heather’s post-surgical blood test results.

Curtis is angry and he’s blaming Ric for the problem, for one thing, it’s his fault that Heather’s blood was retested at another lab.

Ric was shocked at the outcome, and didn’t expect the case to be vacated-he was only trying to get Heather put in minimum security. But Curtis implies if Ric isn’t to blame for Heather’s release, who is?

GH Spoilers: Taking Responsibility

At the hospital, Isaiah is taking responsibility for Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins) survival, telling Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) he wants to do her operation.

Lucas is doing Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) against his better judgment, and actually by adoption he’s Lulu’s cousin as well as Sam’s sister by blood. Isaiah insists if Lucky Spencer’s (Jonathan Jackson) sister has a shot in hell of making it through this, she’s going to need him.

It will take some doing to make it possible for Isaiah to operate on Lulu himself, since he’s not an employee of GH. He will be part of the transplant team, as Lucas is, but some human resources paperwork miracles will need to be done!

General Hospital Spoilers: Josslyn Jacks Is Upset

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is also upset over the announcement, and she tells Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) this was not the news she was expecting to hear tonight!

Josslyn was up close and personal with Heather and her hook, and if it weren’t for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) she’d be dead.

It’s bad enough that Britt got a dose of the snake venom through her briefcase, that she’d used as a shield and died in her mother Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) arms.

Josslyn is of the same mind that Portia and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) are, that Heather’s murderous machinations weren’t caused by cobalt metallosis.

As far as they are all concerned, Heather’s as much a murderer as her crazy ex baby daddy Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) ever was!

GH Spoilers: Making Explanations

Elsewhere, Ric is making explanations to his daughter Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) about Heather’s release, for one case, which frankly, he was even blindsided by.

He didn’t expect the judge to completely vacate the charges-but he also has another case he’s working on and that’s Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) custody case.

It sounds like Molly wants him to drop one of his cases, well, Heather’s is a done deal out of his hands, so Ava’s must be the one she’s talking about. He makes his explanations for exactly why he can’t drop the case!

General Hospital Spoilers: Lies, Lies And More Lies!

Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had already had it out over Holly’s assertion that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) father.

But shortly after Holly left her office, to meet Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to unload her diamonds, Anna received a be on the lookout bulletin from Interpol.

Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) was caught on camera at an airport in Miami, Florida, and she knows he’s after Holly.

Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) had questioned Anna and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) if they left with any  ” souvenirs” from Africa and advised them  about Sidwell’s survival.

Now Anna has tracked Holly to where Sonny is, likely his office in Pozzulo’s and confronts her, telling her to please stop lying for once!

GH Spoilers: Sonny Is Wary

Sonny is wary, especially when Anna shows up looking for Holly, telling Holly she must be in some kind of trouble!

The last time she was in town Sonny hid her in one of his safe houses until she could be relocated overseas, a convoluted charade Robert helped with.

That time she faked being on fire and escaped with her death being faked. The Ice Princess necklace she was trying to steal may not exist anymore, at least not in its former form, but diamonds are forever! And Sidwell is coming for his, and for her!
