General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Tuesday, July 16, 2024, tease unsure doubts, big opportunities and a lover torn!
Next On General Hospital
Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) has unsure doubts, Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) is given a big opportunity, and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is a lover torn!
Unsure Doubts
At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse, Willow is unsure and has doubts about her idea-she tells him she’s suddenly wondering if this is a good idea.
Perhaps Willow is the impetus that causes Sonny to go visit Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) which would indeed be a miracle.
Sonny seems calm, cool, collected and even friendly as he listens to Willow speak-that’s a radical difference from his paranoia and thinking everyone’s a traitor.
What does Willow have in mind that she wants to talk to her father-in-law about? Is she unbelievably trying to make peace between her mother and her ex?
Seeing Eye To Eye? Not!
In the meantime, Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) is still with Nina in her office at Crimson Magazine, after she slapped him so hard she hurt her hand and almost knocked him over!
Drew looks Nina in the eye, but they’re doing anything but seeing eye to eye as he tells her maybe it’s time she and he came to a new understanding.
Nina was reacting to Willow’s confession that she had kissed Drew, and like any good mama bear she blamed Drew! On the other hand, perhaps there’s a bit of jealousy there?
Catching Up
In the meantime, it looks like Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) could be at Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) art gallery catching up. Josslyn smiles at Dex as they talk about things and says she completely forgot about “that”.
It’s possible that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) put a couple of large paintings in her and Josslyn’s apartment over the Quartermaine garage, although they would be a bit out of place!
Josslyn and Dex look like they’re getting pretty cozy again. Might the separated couple reconcile and pick up where they left off?

Big Opportunities
Elsewhere, at the Metro Court Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) is excited as she asks Gio if he’s ready for the bright lights!
It sounds like she’s arranged a concert or something of the sort for him to show off his violin playing.
Gio looks like he’s responding to an opportunity even better than Brook Lynn and Harrison Chase’s (Amanda Setton, Josh Swickard) wedding.
There had been some discussions about playing for an art show at the Jerome Art Gallery, perhaps there’s something more ahead.
Lover Torn
In the meantime, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) arrived back to his place after giving a check to his son Jake Webber (Hudson West) for his schooling, and a happy reunion.
Unfortunately for their case of taking down Pikeman, Anna also had a happy reunion with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) after spending the night with her father.
Anna got the satellite phone and downloaded the contents but there’s a problem, and she’s a lover torn, and likely not just because she still loves Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

Anna tells Jason she can’t let John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) take Valentin away, so he can’t have the evidence she gathered from the phone.
This most likely has to do with her not being able to bear taking Charlotte’s father away from her.
GH Spoilers: Two In Cahoots?
As for Jagger, he’s at Ava’s place and it almost seems the two of them are in cahoots against Sonny!
As Ava tries to sway Cates, Cates is bargaining with Ava, telling her if she helps him with that it works to both their advantages!
Since Jason was compromised in his efforts to bring down Pikeman from the inside, Cates has to come up with another plan.
In the meantime, Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) been talking to Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) at Pentonville trying to get help against Cates!
