General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Tuesday, January 9 tease promises, confessions and questions.

Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) talks about promises, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) makes a confession and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has questions.

General Hospital Spoilers: Promises

Curtis is in bed as he looks up at his wife, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and tells her he promised he would never do that again.

It sounds like they’re discussing serious subjects and trying to work out some disagreements. Curtis is waiting to start the experimental procedure that could make him walk again-he’d been worried it might not work.

Curtis’ promise he talks about might be concerning backing out of the medical procedure at the last minute. He’s backed out of things before at the last minute, but he won’t back out of this.

GH Spoilers: Confessions

Elsewhere, Trina is talking to Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) and confessing that she did something terrible.

How terrible could it be-is she talking about turning down Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) when she asked for forgiveness a couple of weeks ago?

That would be understandable, considering how Esme ruined Trina’s life back then. Surely Trina wouldn’t be talking about something that she did regarding her own family!

General Hospital Spoilers: Questions

After Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) and Alexis find themselves caught up in an unexpected kiss, Alexis has questions about what comes next.

The two have been getting closer, presumably as friends but now this has happened. It could be a game changer for sure, especially considering Gregory’s ALS is progressing.

Will Alexis find herself falling for someone who may not have long to live? And will Gregory find himself falling for Alexis in return?

GH Spoilers: Ava Jerome Has Questions

In the meanwhile, Ava Jerome (Maura West) is at the PCPD with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and she wants to know why she has to be there, if they’ve already confessed.

It looks like she’s come in about the recent break-in at Wyndemere, where nothing was missing but the glass of a set of French doors were broken. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) realized it was Esme who broke in when she recognized her red glove was a match to the one found at the castle.

Perhaps Ava needs to sign some papers or decide if she wants to charge her, considering the minimal property damage.

General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Collins Brought Esme Prince To The PCPD

In another room at the PCPD, Laura is with Esme, who’s shocked when Laura tells her to tell the truth.

Esme had told her and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) she went there trying to make sense of some flashes of memories but the locks were changed.

She hadn’t meant to steal anything although it could be considered breaking and entering, if she hadn’t dropped her glove she wouldn’t have been caught.

Esme is torn between doing the right thing, which the amnesiac Esme would do, or do the wrong thing, which she would have previously done. It’s like a good Esme and bad Esme in one person and she’s confusing herself.

GH Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos Visits Carly Spencer

Elsewhere, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has gotten out on bail and is talking to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) at Kelly’s.

He tells Carly that in his prayers, he will thank her-referring to Carly’s mother, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).

He’s there to offer his condolences and his support to his ex-wife, who he still considers family. Carly’s appreciative of Sonny’s efforts and supportiveness in her time of need.

General Hospital Spoilers: Marshall Ashford And Stella Henry Clash

It looks like Stella and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) are at the hospital as they clash, Marshall shouting at Stella!

He shouts at her if she can’t be all in, then don’t be there at all! The two are definitely getting more emotional around each other, a romantic moment having happened between them at Christmas.

They are likely there to support Curtis, who may be in the process of being prepped for his experimental procedure. He did look like he was in a hospital bed when he was talking to Portia.
