GH Spoilers Tuesday, April 9: Eclipse Preemption, Drew’s Argument, Jason’s Favor, Carly To The Rescue

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Monday, April 8 tease an eclipse preemption, an argument, a favor and a rescue; GH will resume on Tuesday, April 9.

Next On General Hospital

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will be involved in an argument, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) asks for a favor and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) comes to someone’s rescue.

Eclipse Preemption

ABC and other Disney-owned networks are planning a broadcast of the solar eclipse starting at 2 pm EDT, which is when GH airs on the East Coast.

If for some reason the area they are filming it from has weather-related complications then there will be a rerun of a GH episode.

They plan to show the path of totality from the beginning to the end as the sun is eclipsed by the moon, a wide swath in the United States.

If you choose to watch the solar eclipse, you can plan on them showing it and talking about it from several different locations along the path of the eclipse.

This will be the same for both broadcast and streaming, so GH will not air a new episode until Tuesday, April 9.

Drew’s Argument

Drew gets into a heated argument with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), and he wants to know what does he get out of this?

It sounds like they’re disagreeing on something she wants to run in Crimson, although it could be something more personal.

Nina may be suggesting she plot with him on some type of revenge, since he wants to know what he gets out of it-they’d talked about that before.

Drew wanted to know what payback ever got Nina, when she asked him if he wanted to get back at Carly for dumping him for Jason!

Olivia Quartermaine’s News

Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) may also have a problem with Nina, since in addition to running Crimson and publishing the Invader, she still owns half of the Metro Court.

Olivia tells someone that’s not the only thing someone’s done without input from her, so she has to be talking about the Metro Court and Nina.

Although, there is another possibility for the mystery “she” and what she’s done without Olivia’s input.

She could also be talking about Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) making decisions about décor or many other things at the Quartermaine mansion since her return.

Tracy has always had tendencies to just move in and take over, especially at the Quartermaine mansion!

Behind The Scenes

Elsewhere, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) talks to someone, telling them that someone behind the scenes was working in their favor. It looks like possibly she may be talking to the person in the Quartermaine stables, at least that certainly looks like it could be a stable door behind her.

The client obviously was very lucky in their outcome and Diane’s explaining that to them. It looks like there’s a lot to discuss by the look on Diane’s face.

Sonny Corinthos’ Anger

At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) place, Ava Jerome (Maura West) listens to him vent as he asks why Drew would hire the woman who put him in prison?

Obviously he’s just found out that Drew rehired Nina as the editor of Crimson Magazine, probably from Ava.

Nina should consider herself lucky that Drew did that, since she doesn’t seem to have any other true friends-not that Drew is in the friend zone with her.

It’s obvious Sonny’s not happy with the situation and thinks Drew’s lost his mind. However, someone else close to Sonny will be disturbed by Ava’s behavior-his daughter, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi).

Jason’s Favor

It looks like that same stable type door behind Jason, as it does behind Diane, as he tells someone he needs them to do something else for him.

It would make sense for Diane to meet him in the stable since it’s private and no one will know they are there-Jason has to be careful and watch his back.

He’s still being forced to work for John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) acting as bait to draw out Pikeman.

Diane is more than happy to do what she can to help him with whatever else he’s talking about; she handled his arraignment.

Carly To The Rescue

Carly’s out after dark driving in her car when she spots someone in trouble-GH spoilers say it’ll be Jagger!

She shouts out her car window, “Hey, leave him alone”! What possible trouble could Jagger be in that Carly can help with?

However, she finds him in trouble and comes to his rescue. She may not like him but she won’t leave him in trouble, either!
