General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) and Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) were on cloud nine for a moment when they thought they were finally on the same page, but it turns out they’re not.
TJ was able to come around to Molly’s way of thinking — that while her sister, Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi), did play a role in their child’s death, she wasn’t the ultimate catalyst that made it occur. Both of them blaming Ava Jerome (Maura West) made them feel like they were finally a couple again.
But the debate over Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) defense of Heather Webber (Alley Mills) gave TJ a leg up in the fight he was dying to pick.
He just can’t get over the heartbreak they’ve both been going through and how alone he has felt in light of Molly’s abandonment of their relationship.
As Ric moves forward with less-than-kosher moves in Heather’s case, will TJ and Molly be turned against each other just because they don’t know how to come together?
TJ can’t seem to keep his emotions in check, but he’s starting to air some of them and that’s going to give us a much-needed perspective on how he’s feeling about his domestic partnership with Molly.
Admittedly, Molly would say she hasn’t been as present for her man as she probably should have been over the last several weeks. Losing their child came as a shocking and crushing blow to both of them.
TJ expected that they would get through this together, but he feels he’s been left to weather the storm on his own. Now, he and Molly just can’t seem to stick together as outside forces continue to pull them apart. Are those outside forces just a convenient excuse to see their way out of this relationship?
Molly was trying her hardest to be present for TJ on their date night at The Savoy, but as soon as things went left, she seemed to embrace the exit. Is this foreshadowing of things to come for their union in the big picture?
No one forced Molly to stand up for her dad in that awkward moment, but she did. Instead of respecting her for standing by her family, TJ took a separate stand.
From his purview, he was doing the right thing and Molly was going against him, but that could just be his anger toward Ric talking. Either way, Molly is struggling to feel like she and TJ are a couple at all — and it shows.
The microcosm of arguments going on around Heather’s case is just that — a snippet of what is really going on with everyone involved. TJ is furious that Ric is representing Ava, and he feels validated in expecting that Molly would feel the same way.
She’s a bit better about compartmentalizing the way she feels though. While she is upset with her dad, that doesn’t mean she’ll judge him unfairly in another light because of a separate issue.
If TJ continues to expect her to break ties with her own moral code on that front, it could spell disaster for their partnership as he goes on feeling unsupported and left out in the cold, however unintentionally on her part. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
