General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, May 9, 2024, tease excitement, nervousness, offense and anger among the Port Charles residents!

Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) is excited, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is nervous, Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) offended and Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) is angry!

Excited Blaze

Blaze is all excited as she talks to her mother, Natalia Rogers-Ramirez (Eva La Rue). It sounds like she’s talking about her latest record as she exclaims she thinks it’s going to be her best one yet!

If Natalia stays true to form, she’ll likely find fault with some aspect of it and quickly burst her daughter’s bubble of enthusiasm and joy.

Blaze and her mother just had an argument over Blaze not using her brother on the record. Her brother declined, leaving music apparently for a “real job” and to get away from controlling Mommy!

Surprising Progress

Elsewhere, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) is sharing the surprising progress on a project with Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

No doubt she’s talking about the project that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) convinced Congressman McConkey (Sam McMurray) to get behind.

Drew had just talked to Jordan about it the other day and caught her up. Laura is surprised as she asks Jordan “that’s moving forward already”? Jordan tells Laura that it just got a big boost.

Nervous Sam

It looks like Sam is with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) at his office in the Corinthos Coffee warehouse as she asks him to promise he won’t be walking into something dangerous?

Jason will be telling Sam that he’s been working with the FBI so he may be referring to something that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will be working on with him.

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is keeping Dante off anything to do with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) but hasn’t ruled out him working on investigations into Pikeman.

Sam will no doubt be surprised and possibly even shocked when Jason admits what happened and his whole story of why he was forced to continue playing dead. Whether he admits it was to protect Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is another story entirely.

Offended Ava

Ava and Sonny are at the Metro Court when she shares she’s offended with something a female someone said to her. Ava’s very offended as she says “how dare she throw my daughter’s murder in my face?”

That wouldn’t be Carly-she knew as well as anyone what Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) was capable of, he kidnapped her and tried to kill her daughter!

This has to be someone else-might it be Natalia talking about Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) murder which was national news and blaming Ava? Ouch!

Angry Gregory

At Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) apartment, Gregory is angry, and shouts “by all means, son, you lecture me on proper wedding etiquette!”

Finn told Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) he would talk to their dad about not risking flying to Coney Island for their reception dinner before their wedding. The elder Chase is clearly offended by Finn’s attempts and protection of him.

But with Gregory at times needing oxygen, flying is probably not a good idea-not even for a couple of hours. Coney Island can’t be that far from Port Charles, after all!
