General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Thursday, May 23 tease bad decisions, courtroom drama and a daughter torn.

Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) continues making bad decisions, there’s drama in the courtroom for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) is torn.

Bad Decisions

Finn continues to make bad decisions as he pushes Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) away.

He’s choosing to continue drinking, Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) present or not, and he appears to be giving Elizabeth an ultimatum. He tells Elizabeth those are the two choices-you decide.

Elizabeth had refused to let Finn keep drinking with Violet living with him after Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) called her to tell her their father died.

Finn and Elizabeth got in an argument over getting Finn to an AA meeting, and he sounds rather belligerent.

Baldwin Makes A Call

Elizabeth now appears to be outside the apartment building and she’s calling someone, and it’s obvious she’s talking about Finn and Violet.

She tells someone she’s not who they need right now-perhaps she’s talking to Chase? At least Finn wasn’t drunk in front of Violet, which Elizabeth was concerned about happening.

Chase and Violet are now the only family that Finn has, but Elizabeth has rights as Violet’s aunt.

It sounds like Finn has broken up with her over trying to help him keep from spiraling back into addiction, even though it wasn’t alcohol the last time.  

Courtroom Drama

In the meantime, Alexis, who may be the only other person who could talk some sense into Finn, is busy with courtroom drama in Albany.

Fergus Byrne (Lane Davies) showed up in the courtroom and he’s fighting Alexis getting her law license back tooth and nail, blaming her totally for the deaths of his two brothers. Specifically, he’s blaming her and her “disregard for the law”.

Alexis actually had nothing to do with the deaths of either Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) or Brendon Byrne (Joshua Cox).

That was all on Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel)-she points at him and says “let’s let him prove that by telling me the name of my accuser”.

A Daughter Torn

In Blaze’s (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) suite at the Metro Court, she and Kristina talk about the events that have happened in the past couple of days.

It’s obvious Kristina is torn about whether to tell what she knows now about her father, having had a very rude awakening; she saw Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) ugly side.

Many of Sonny’s friends and relatives tuned that part of him out, all looking at him through filters, and Kristina’s the latest one to have her blinders removed.

That is exactly what she means when she tells Blaze that in her own way she’s just as guilty-guilty for making excuses for Sonny.

Dex Heller Meets With Anna Devane

In the meantime, Dex Heller, (Evan Hofer) is in Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) office at the PCPD. Previously, he, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had talked about the beating he received from Sonny that Kristina witnessed.

Michael and Josslyn, for that matter, Dex, wanted to spare pregnant Kristina from stress having to testify against Sonny, and that no doubt is what Dex is asking Anna about.

He asks her if he’s tarnishing his badge before he even puts it on-even though not pressing charges for the sake of a pregnant woman’s safety is involved. It’s a moral dilemma for Dex, to be sure.

Carly Spencer Tries To Reason With Sonny

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) tries to reason with Sonny again, it appears that she’s still trying to talk some sense into him.

It was obvious to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) that Sonny was in trouble off his meds even though he said he was taking them regularly.

Carly had even tried to get some of the pills but was stopped by Ava Jerome (Maura West); in spite of that Carly did get Sonny talked down following Dex’s beating.  

Now everyone formerly in his close circle know there’s something off with Sonny, and Carly asks him what’s he going to do when he runs out of traitors?
