GH Spoilers: Taggert Is The Only One Who Can Save Sonny Now?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans have not seen Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) in some time and it’s not sitting right with them.

There was a point when Taggert was a main character, interacting with show heavyweights like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He was last seen in 2023 when the huge reveal about Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) not being his daughter blew up.

Last year he waffled on becoming the deputy mayor, and Mac Scorpio (John J. York) was given the job temporarily. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) accepted the position this month.

Taggert hasn’t been onscreen since last summer and fans want to know why. They asked Andrews about it on Insta in October and he indicated that he was willing to working occasionally.

Then, on February 20 he addressed the issue again as so many fans think he needs to be back now more than ever due to Trina’s losing the love of her life, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).

GH spoilers – Real Andrews Praised His Fans

Andrews posted a video on Instagram saying that he appreciates the fans’ support: “You guys have a very loud voice, especially in today’s day and age, so between God and you all making a bunch of noise if it’s meant to be, I’ll be back.”

He added “At this point I think it’s really gonna be up to you guys and God, first and foremost. If God wants me back, I’ll be back.”

He let the fans know “And if I’m back, I’ll bring it. You know that’s what I do.”

His followers pointed out that the show seemed to be sending Taggert down a substance abuse storyline when he learned he was not Trina’s biological father. That plot evaporated when Taggert was sent to the attic.

Right now there’s a fascinating storyline evolving involving the town’s mobsters, namely Sonny Corinthos.

At one point lawman Taggert and convict Sonny were hard core enemies, but in later years the animosity softened into a begrudging respect.

Now would be the perfect time for Taggert to come back to PC and join the effort to find out who is trying to kill Sonny. Come on fans, let’s make a little noise for our boy!
