Fans will recall Steve Burton’s return to General Hospital in March 2024 was monumental-aAfter being let go in 2021, many fans were left devastated.
Despite the circumstances, he was aware of the existing mandate and, alongside Ingo Rademacher, did everything possible to resist it.
Following a period at Days of Our Lives, he departed, leaving fans speculating about his potential comeback to Port Charles as Jason Morgan.
Although his character had been killed off, in the realm of soap operas, that rarely holds any weight. Jason made a comeback, ultimately revealing his intense backstory thanks to the fresh writing team.
Months later, it was revealed that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) the mother of Jason’s son Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) was fired. Fans had speculated that her character would be written off, and their outrage was palpable, and Jason’s farewell to her was heart-wrenching.
Yet, the show continues, and Steve is focusing on the brighter days ahead; as reported by Soap Central, he is thrilled about collaborating with Jane Elliot.
On his podcast, Daily Dish, Steve Burton shared how much joy they experience while performing together. Jason moving into the Quartermaine mansion to be with Danny will be the first time he lived there since he was in college.
With Jason back in the Quartermaine mansion to be with his son, Danny, this marks a significant moment, especially since he hasn’t lived there in years. Longtime viewers will remember the accident that altered his life and erased his memories.
After that, he adopted a new identity, changing his last name from Quartermaine to Morgan and began working for Sonny Corinthos, played by Maurice Benard.
Now that he is back home, he will meet Tracy, which makes Steve happy-he said, “I was just chatting with Jane about it-Tracy and I have some funny moments. She’s really funny, that’s a nice hint; she said, ‘Oh, I had a blast doing scenes with you… last week.’”
There is a lot more to look forward to with Steve Burton and Jane Elliot; they share many holiday memories, which came to mind when he moved back in.
He mentioned, “I know you probably had a great time before I got here, but when we were together as the Quartermaine family, there are so many memories.” She replied, “No, that was definitely a special time for everybody;” It’s great that they are still continuing this tradition.
Fans will feel a wave of nostalgia seeing Jason back in the mansion; with Tracy’s sharp humor added in, it’s sure to be a great experience. While there is still some sadness to address, the holidays always bring a mix of fun and drama.
