General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could suffer his bitterest betrayal yet if he finds out Ava Jerome (Maura West) is working an angle.

There’s a good possibility she may be in cahoots with John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) and her relationship with Sonny’s just a means to an end.

When Cates and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) busted into Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) warehouse, along with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) there was a weird vibe.

It almost seemed Cates and Ava were toying with each other-as if they might have a mutual secret they were keeping-that makes a lot more sense now.

The reveal that Cates and his men were waiting for Jason at the other end of that collapsed tunnel and he’s blackmailing him put some puzzle pieces together.

He blackmailed Jason into being a mercenary as part of his anti-mob mission, but he’s weaving a tangled web of deception-could Ava be tangled in it too?

GH Spoilers – If It Wasn’t Nikolas Cassadine, Who Was It?

Ava had assumed it was Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) who left her the cryptic messages, the photos of Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) dead and a gun. But if it wasn’t Nikolas, then who was it-and who really bought Spoon Island and Wyndemere?

Might it have been John Cates-he seemed upset that Ava was in Selina’s warehouse with Sonny; was he afraid Ava would double-cross him?

It is likely a reluctant partnership just like the one with Jason, blackmailing those close to Sonny to take him down-and who closer than the mother of one of Sonny’s children?

Sonny may have a different Judas on his hands, one who he’d never suspect-although Ava would be a reluctant one.

General Hospital Spoilers – Ava Jerome Wouldn’t Willingly Throw Him To The Wolves

Ava certainly wouldn’t throw Avery Jerome-Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) father to the wolves if she wasn’t forced into it, perhaps she’s doing her best to protect and keep him alive.

However, it did seem like she was trying a little too hard to throw Jason under the bus and make Sonny believe his best friend had turned against him.

That would be something Jagger would have forced her to do, even though Ava has been acting fishy for a while now.

From the recent revelations that Jagger is blackmailing Jason, it makes a lot of sense that he’s blackmailing Ava as well. If Sonny is distracted with worry and off his game that will make him easier to catch.
