GH Spoilers: Sonny Sets Up Secret Spencer Search, Not Wanting To Raise False Hopes?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and rumors tease Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) might set up a secret search for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez).

Sonny knows from his own experience in Nixon Falls that anything is possible-they didn’t expect him to return alive either, and Spencer could have been washed up on shore.

General Hospital Spoilers – Don’t Give Up Hope-Ever!

Sonny talks to some of his men that he can spare and contacts he has overseas to set up a search for Spencer, but keeps it a secret.

The search will be based on where he and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) fell off the boat in the Seine, but he doesn’t want to raise any false hopes. His men will be on the lookout for Esme or her body as well, because they fell off together.

It’s the least Sonny can do for his nephew, remembering hearing how Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) searched for him all the way out to sea as well.

The reason he wasn’t found is because he washed up on shore on the Pennsylvania side and landed in a snowdrift, which the Coast Guard wouldn’t have thought.

GH Spoilers – The Authorities Have Given Up Hope Based On The Speed Of The Current

The authorities, the French version of a coast guard have given up hope based on the speed of the current-Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) tells him they didn’t look very long.

They were expecting that Spencer and Esme died and since they didn’t float up after drowning, they must have been washed out to the ocean.

It’s the same thing that happened after Sonny fell in the river after struggling with Julian Jerome (William DeVry) although Julian floated up right away.

Jason didn’t give up looking until there was nowhere else to look, and that is what Sonny’s men will do-Spencer could have washed up and walked inland like Sonny did.

General Hospital Spoilers – They Know Spencer Cassadine Was Drugged

Another thing that the French were taking into account, from what Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) told them, was that Spencer was drugged and Esme had a head injury.

Trina caused that injury herself, hitting her with a large pipe wrench rescuing Spencer, who Esme had tied up and was threatening with the syringe.

They didn’t figure the two were any match for the currents with Spencer impaired from an unknown drug and Esme with a head injury.

Sonny isn’t going to let his searchers give up and they will leave no stone unturned-they’ve been instructed to fan out along the banks of the river as well.

Sonny had walked a good mile inland before he passed out in that snowdrift and the Nixon Falls deputy found him.
