GH Spoilers: Sam’s Nosing Around Could Cost Her Jason’s Respect

General Hospital (GH) spoilers gush Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is reeling and raging over the fact that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has been away from his family all of this time voluntarily because he was protecting Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

While Sam has every valid reason to be upset by this, some fans are wondering whether it’s really that he was away that is driving her mad — or is it because Carly once again is the first on Jason’s list? That always has gotten under Sam’s skin.

For so many years now, Sam has been the figure of moral superiority over Jason. When she decided his life invited too much danger for their son — Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) — to be in it, that was that.

Jason respected Sam’s wishes and steered clear of him for the most part. The same has been true since he came back home, despite Danny constantly finding ways to seek out his father and impose a relationship they both want that Jason has felt he can’t indulge him in.

But is that tide about to turn as Jason hears the riot act from Sam and calls her out for her hypocrisy? Breaking federal laws isn’t exactly not dangerous.

GH Spoilers – Hint the Lines Are Already Blurred

It looks like Jason is already starting to operate more autonomously from Sam when it comes to their son.

He invited Danny to spend some time together and spent the afternoon teaching him how to look over a motorcycle — along with some antidotes about his youth and how he got to be where he is in life.

Danny came home on cloud nine while Sam was completely confused. Sure, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may not have known Sam didn’t want Jason and Danny hanging out, but Jason surely knew and did it anyway.

It doesn’t seem like Jason has any intention of staying away from his son now. Moreover, while he would never seek to take him away from Sam under normal circumstances, rumor has it some very abnormal circumstances are about to arise for this broken family.

As Sam finds herself in hot water for breaking federal laws, will Jason be the safe haven Danny must legally adjoin himself with if his mom is awaiting trial on federal charges?
