GH Spoilers: Port Charles Takes Sides As Laura Petitions For Heather’s Release

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease for the last twenty years or so, Heather Webber (Alley Mills) has terrorized Port Charles with violence and terror.

Most recently, Heather was revealed the be “The Hook” serial killer who took the lives of several Port Charles residents including Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) among others.

Even before that, Heather was always devious but she definitely got worse in the last two decades.

General Hospital Spoilers – Heather Webber Suffered From Cobalt Poisoning!

During a recent trip to Port Charles, doctors there discovered that she had been suffering from cobalt poisoning from a defective hip replacement approximately twenty years ago.

Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) noticed a marked difference in Heather’s behavior once she had defective hip replaced.

That has led Laura to wonder just how responsible Heather was some of her more violent crimes in recent years.

She even enlisted Kevin Collins (John Lindstrom) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to look at both medical and legal precedents.

As Mayor of Port Charles, Laura could face serious blowback if she continues down this path. Heather’s victims all had families who still mourn for their loved ones.

People like Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Leisl O’Brecht (Kathleen Gati) would most certainly oppose any attempt that Laura would make to have Heather’s sentence lessened or even vacated.

It could also be the deciding factor in Laura’s next attempt to run for Mayor. She could lose the support of good portion of her voters.

But it’s also likely that many Port Charles with sympathize with Heather’s plight. Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) was once in love with Heather before she became so violent.

He might see a glimmer of that Heather now and side with Laura. Another potential ally could be Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

Cyrus was a former drug kingpin who is also seeking a path of redemption. He might see a kindred spirit in Heather.

Either way, if Laura continues down this path, Port Charles may become quite divided in the coming weeks and month.
