General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Ruins Drew's Political Plan!General Hospital spoilers tease that Drew Cain (Cameron Matheson), like many other Port Charles residents at the moment, may be eyeing a career change.

As viewers know, Drew convinced Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to let him tag along during her meeting with Congressman Larry McConkey (Sam McMurray).

Drew was hoping to get the Congressman’s support for his new waterfront project. Although McConkey didn’t appreciate Drew barging in at first, he eventually agreed to help Drew.

During his meeting with Drew and Nina, McConkey revealed that he is dying and that this will be his final term.

Drew made such an impression on the Congressman, that he paid Drew a visit in his office a few days later with a shocking offer.

Imagine Drew’s surprise when McConkey suggested that Drew put his name in the running for McConkey’s soon to be vacated seat. After initially having some doubts, Drew seemed to warm up to the idea.

If Drew does run for Congress, he may have to answer for some of things in his past. He was once brainwashed into believing first he was his own twin brother Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and later into an unthinking killing machine under the control of Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

Then there’s his prison stint for insider trading, But even if the voting public accepts all of that history, he may still have to explain his connection to Nina!

General Hospital Spoilers – Nina Reeves could be Drew Cain’s downfall!

Nina was the one who anonymously tipped off the SEC to the insider trading that led to Drew’s time in prison.

At first his anger toward Nina was through the roof, but the two have managed to turn their anger to passion.

Their newfound relationship could turn off voters, especially when it may look like Drew broke up with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in order to be with Nina.

Their sexual relationship could turn into tabloid fodder and cause the public not to trust the would be congressman.

Voters can be fickle, and Nina may just become the reason that Drew loses the election if he chooses to run?
