While there may be no woman he loathes more, the line between love and hate is thin, as they say.
Drew might just be looking to scratch an itch, but the fans suspect he’s looking for ways to stick it to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) that will really get under her skin.
Will flaunting Nina around town and sleeping with her around the office get Carly’s attention — and if so, will it be in the manner that Drew was hoping for? And before we get too far ahead of ourselves, will Nina even take this bait again?
When Drew hit Nina up for round two, she made it abundantly clear that she wasn’t interested in reigniting that spark that momentarily broke out into flames between them the week before.
Nina is still in love with her husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), although she’s not been successful at reconciling with him and has now signed the divorce papers to officially let him go.
Nina quickly reneged when she had the opportunity to use her feminine wiles to swat Drew into seeking revenge on Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Morgan).
Still, Nina is holding out hope that letting go of the man she loves dearly will set him free, and that he may eventually come back to her on his own.
She knows that if he learned she did the deed – twice – with Drew, all chances of a future with him would be dashed.
So, Nina is trying to learn from her mistake and sidestep future encounters with Carly’s ex, but will it be as easy as she thinks?
Carly may not have understood what Drew meant when she bumped into him at the Metro Court bar and he said things were “almost” back to how they were supposed to be. That made little sense to her at the time, and to be honest, it made little sense to the fans, too.
If Drew was nodding to his trysts with Nina, we have to question how any dalliance with her would be akin to how things used to be.
Perhaps Drew thinks sleeping around with Nina will score him a reboot with Carly, or at least turn her head in his direction.
If so, he’d be right, but that doesn’t mean she’ll want him back. Rather, Carly is going to take note of something happening between Nina and Drew, but it’ll be crystal clear that he’s the one who appears to be chasing her — not the other way around.
It may not benefit Carly in any way to put Drew’s game of chase on Sonny’s radar. Besides, it’s really none of Sonny’s business, nor Carly’s.
She and Drew are over; Sonny and Nina are over. They’re all consenting adults and whatever they do in their private lives is up to them.
That being said, Carly could still be bitter that Nina ran off to tell Drew right away after catching her in Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates’ (Adam Harrington) hotel room and jumping to conclusions about what it meant.
Will Carly dish up some revenge on Nina and return the favor by telling Sonny that his ex-wife and Drew are in cahoots — and in bed — together? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
