GH Spoilers: Nikolas And Elizabeth’s Shocking Marriage Keeps Him Out Of Jail!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that over a year ago Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) kept Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) captive while she was pregnant with his baby.

Nikolas wanted to take the baby from Esme once it was born and then send her off in exile somewhere. At the time, he also believed that Esme was “the Hook”, a serial killer terrorizing Port Charles.

Since Esme was pregnant, he enlisted nurse Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) to help take care of Esme. Elizabeth was reluctant, but thought she was helping Nikolas keep a killer off the streets.

General Hospital Spoilers – Elizabeth Webber had a change of heart!

Elizabeth demanded Nikolas let Esme go once the Hook attacks continued while Esme was captive. But Nikolas refused and Elizabeth was afraid of going to prison so she kept quiet, at least for awhile.

Esme escaped, and when she resurfaced, she had no memory of her time in captivity. But Elizabeth’s guilt got the better of her and she confessed.

She was offered a deal that no charges would be filed as long as she made a statement against Nikolas. Nikolas went on the run after recovering from a head injury inflicted by Ava Jerome (Maura West).

GH Spoilers – Spencer Cassadine gave Nikolas Cassadine his son!

Once Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) realized that Esme had regained her memory, he gave the baby to Nikolas. Esme was devastated, and when she tried to use Spencer to get Nikolas to give the baby back.

Both Esme and Spencer are now presumed dead, so Nikolas came him and decided to turn himself into the authorities.

That means that the case against Nikolas only has Elizabeth’s statement in it’s favor. Elizabeth may be tapped to testify against Nikolas to secure the case against him.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine and Elizabeth Webber are dear friends!

Despite how they left things, Elizabeth and Nikolas have always been close. They even share a romantic history when Elizabeth carried on with Nikolas while married to his half-brother Lucky Spencer (last played by Jonathan Jackson).

She most likely would never want to see Nikolas go to jail, especially now that Spencer is presumed dead. If her testimony is requested to secure the case against Nikolas there may be a solution.

If Nikolas and Elizabeth were married, she couldn’t be forced to testify against him. If Elizabeth agrees, if would most likely mean the end of her relationship with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) once and for all.
