GH Spoilers: Nicholas Chavez May Be Out, But What Does That Mean For Spencer Cassadine?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers claim Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) allegedly fell to his death in the waters of the English Channel on a night that should’ve been one of the most magical of his life to have shared with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

Going overboard in a scuffle with a murderous Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), neither of their bodies were recovered from the water.

The lack of closure left fans immediately suspicious that neither of them are really dead. But Chavez’s recent announcement confirming that he won’t be returning to the sudser has left fans wondering if his hiatus will be much longer. How do you see this working out?

If Esme comes back from the great beyond, we can expect quite the story about where she’s been. Sure, someone might have captured her and held her hostage, but we have to remember that Esme had every reason for wanting to disappear, too.

She was facing major time behind bars — something Heather Webber (Alley Mills) can relate to well. Will Esme come home just in time to swap places with her mom and Heather is released from prison following Laura Collins (Genie Francis) advocating for an appeal on her sentence due to her medical condition at the time of the murders?

GH Spoilers – Leak Spencer Cassadine May Be on His Own

Everyone was instantly suspect of the dueling duo’s disappearance, but having both of them go missing in those waters hardly meant Esme was any more responsible for it than the role she played in them falling off the barge.

It would be an unbelievable and tremendous fear for Esme to have somehow captured Spencer and held him against his will all of this time. But that doesn’t mean someone else wasn’t doing her dirty work — or their own.

While we were all hoping for Spencer to return sometime later this year — presumably after Chavez wrapped taking Season 2 of the Netflix series Monsters.

Still, it appears he’s not coming back to Port Charles, and that begs the quarries as to whether Spencer will stay absent until GH can reel Chavez back in.

Given that he will likely end up with more offers on the table after the Netflix series, it’s not probable that GH will wait around for him.

While that may disappoint the fans, it also means Spencer can return sooner — albeit played by someone else.

Will his return bring back the same loving Spencer that Trina finally coaxed out of him, or will he have been brainwashed or otherwise manipulated into someone else entirely? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
