GH Spoilers: New Love Story For Liz-Romantic Reset Needed?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease a new love story for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) may be in the works soon.

Fans have noticed a big shift in her scenes lately, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) hasn’t been in every scene with her, and for many, that’s a good thing.

General Hospital Spoilers – No Longer Tied To Hamilton Finn At The Hip

In the scenes since Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) return, Liz hasn’t been tied to Finn at the hip like she has been for the past several years.

General Hospital Spoilers: New Love Story For Liz-Romantic Reset Needed?

Of course, Finn has been dealing with his father, Gregory Chase’s (Gregory Harrison) increasingly worsening ALS.

Elizabeth has been supportive, but Finn’s been spending a lot of time with his dad, and there’s also his brother’s wedding coming up.

But it looks like Elizabeth may have a story of her own without always being tied into a Finn story.

Even her flashback storyline was tied to Finn in her past, and when she wasn’t tied to him she was helping Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss)!

GH Spoilers – No Longer Propping Hamilton Finn

Elizabeth hasn’t been only propping Finn in the most recent scenes, and it’s been nice seeing her a little more independent-working with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) at the hospital, for instance.

She’s also faced off with John Cates (Adam Harrington) over questions about Jason, and played referee between her boys.

Of course, she and Finn won’t be broken up as long as Gregory is fading so fast, Finn will need her support and comfort as he deals with losing his father.

It will likely be even tougher for Finn to work through given all the years they lost together when there was a rift between them. There could be a few more months of the ‘Fiz’ relationship before it fizzles!

General Hospital Spoilers – Gregory Chase’s Death Could Drive Them Apart

It’s even possible that Gregory’s death could drive Finn and Elizabeth apart, if Finn becomes morose and withdraws into himself-possibly throwing himself into his work and withdrawing emotionally.

It’s easy to imagine Finn blaming himself for failing to cure his father, although it really shouldn’t enter his mind-but doctors frequently have a hero complex.

He blamed himself for his wife’s death for many years, and even went through drug addiction when he developed Huntington’s Syndrome, although he later developed a cure.

Finn could start shutting everyone out including Elizabeth and decide he’s just not boyfriend material let alone husband material.

If that happens, then Elizabeth will get a romantic reset and either a new man come into her life, or possibly reunite with Jason!
