General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Monday, January 22 tease painful payback, desperate decisions and persons of interest.

Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) reels from painful payback, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) makes a desperate decision and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) finds himself a person of interest.

General Hospital Spoilers – Painful Payback

After Nina grudgingly signed the termination agreement forced on her by Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) she looks at him and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and asks if they’re even?

Drew hired Carly to take Nina’s place as Editor in Chief of Crimson Magazine, even though she has no experience in the field but it looks like Carly played along.

Perhaps Carly thought it was a bluff on Drew’s part-but Drew obviously meant to get revenge on Nina, and get it good, having taking everything from Nina on his mind.

It’s painful payback for Nina, losing her magazine, losing her husband and losing what’s left of her family. But Nina looks determined to fight back – the only question is, how?

GH Spoilers – A Question For Gregory Chase

Gregory Chase, (Gregory Harrison) Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) are having lunch at the Metro Court together.

Brook Lynn and Chase have a question for him, with wedding planning on their mind. Chase likely wants his father to be his best man, although they’ll be moving up plans quickly because of his medical condition.

Gregory hesitates and looks concerned as Chase says “say yes, Dad!” As always, his ALS diagnosis is on his mind and he worried he may not be able to keep his promise if he accepts.

GH Spoilers – Fancy Meeting You Here

Upstairs in the Metro Court offices area, Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) collides with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) running out of Deception Cosmetics.

He stops her as she’s leaving Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) office very quickly, and asks where she’s running off to in such a hurry. Lucy’s still a part of the company, but considering she and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) are trying to con Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) she’s probably up to no good.

Tracy conned her out of her one ELQ share and over half of the company ownership and she was livid. No doubt Lucy was running quickly to escape a possible sighting by someone she didn’t want to see her!

General Hospital Spoilers – Working On The Plot

In the Metro Court restaurant downstairs, Scott is with Tracy working on the plot-the two will engage in a battle of wits.

Scott points his finger in her face and tells her justice is why they’re here today. Neither he nor Lucy realize Tracy’s onto their plot, which involved Scott sweeping Tracy off her feet into a marriage and then taking her for everything she has!

For now, Tracy’s playing along but eventually they’ll find out she turned the tables. Scott will continue to turn on the charm as he turns up the heat!

GH Spoilers – Desperate Decisions

After Esme ran in a panic, in tears from Ava Jerome (Maura West) in her art gallery, she goes to the prison to talk to her birth mother.

A tearful Esme tells Heather Webber (Alley Mills) that she’s the only person that she can turn to. Unless she breaks her out of prison, Heather cannot do very much to help track down Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay) either.

And even if she did, Heather wouldn’t have any idea where to start looking for Nikolas!

General Hospital Spoilers – Person Of Interest

Meanwhile, at the PCPD, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) isn’t happy with what Laura Collins (Genie Francis) told him about Ace being kidnapped.

Spencer is now down at the station and probably pushing Dante to arrest Esme, but he tells him maybe he should be arresting him instead!

Technically, Spencer could be charged with aiding and abetting a parental kidnapping since Esme is the custodial parent.

Spencer has no idea where Nikolas was headed with Ace, but probably thinks he will update him.

But now he’s in a bind because he doesn’t want to reveal anything his father contacts him about, not even to his grandmother-that’s not good!

GH Spoilers – Unwilling Executive

It’s obvious that Carly was playing along with Drew when he brought her to the Crimson office and told Nina he’d replaced her with Carly as the new editor in chief.

Carly is shocked and troubled when he gets in her face and asks why she couldn’t love it and do it forever.

Carly has had a change of attitude since her mother Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) died and wants to keep running Kelly’s, now renamed Bobbie’s.

Carly has never run a magazine or knows anything about editing and from the look on her face, she’s troubled about Drew’s change.
