He’s doing a darn good job of keeping the truth — and his feelings about it — under wraps in front of his wife, Willow Corinthos (Kaitlyn MacMullen).
Willow, on the other hand, is struggling to hold her feelings in. She can’t contain how she feels about Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison), and it sounds like he doesn’t want her to.
Where does that leave Willow in her marriage to Michael? If he opens up to her about what he witnessed with his dad, will she feel more compelled than ever to stick by his side? Will his transparency inspire her to be just as honest, or will she be too afraid she might lose him?
Last year when Michael was working his agenda against his father to put him in prison for the rest of his life, he kept that tidbit of truth from his wifey. Sure, at the time he was able to convince himself he didn’t want to burden Willow while she was battling stage four leukemia.
Eventually, the time to tell her the truth came and went, and he stayed silent. After that indiscretion came out, Michael agreed to more transparency. Now, he’s keeping secrets again.
When Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) wound up in the Q gatehouse with life-threatening wounds, Michael didn’t think twice about looping Willow in to help out.
When it served him and Jason, it was a wise choice apparently to compromise Willow’s career, nursing license, and freedom by implicating her in a crime involving a fugitive from justice.
This time around, Michael probably won’t tell Willow the truth unless it benefits him in some way — again. But could that benefit be that they don’t have to testify against one another because they’re married?
Will their marriage being a critical piece of protection for Michael end up keeping Willow tethered to him despite her feelings for Drew?
When Michael divulges the truth about his father killing Agent Cates, Willow may feel more pulled into their marriage than ever before.
She’s not going to be able to tell Drew about this either. Instead, she may find a new purpose in being Michael’s wife and helping him cover this up. Just because she’s starting to have feelings for Drew doesn’t mean she doesn’t love her husband and the father of her children.
Will she take one for the team, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) style, and push Drew to the side? Or, will she decide Michael deserves the same transparency from her that he’s dishing out, leading her to tell him the truth? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
