GH Spoilers: Lulu’s Return Makes Sam Rethink Her Relationship With Dante

General Hospital spoilers tease that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zomprogna) was devastated when Lulu Spencer (last played by Emme Rylan) fell into a coma after an explosion at the Floating Rib almost four years ago now.

Lulu and Dante had been divorced at the time, but Lulu had planned to tell Dante she still loved him right before she collapsed following the explosion. Although Lulu’s family hoped she would recover quickly that ended up not being the case.

Lulu has a daughter with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). Recently, Valentin was forced to go on the run after his involvement with the Pikeman Group was exposed.

He took Charlotte with him, and they are currently in hiding overseas. Dante and Lulu’s son Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr) is living in Port Charles with Dante and his new love Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) as well as her two children.

Dante and Lulu were happy together for years until Dante left Port Charles to go on an undercover assignment. He was gone for months and when he returned, he wasn’t the same.

He had been brainwashed and felt he was a danger to his family, so he agreed to treatment at a WSB facility for advanced deprogramming.

Dante sent Lulu divorce papers because he had no idea how long he would be gone and wanted Lulu to move forward with her life. But he was eventually ready to come home and wanted Lulu back, but she was hesitant.

Sam and Dante have formed a family unit together raising their children. But Sam knows that Dante and Lulu were each other’s first loves. Once Lulu wakes up, Sam will have to rethink her relationship with Dante.

Dante may protest that he loves Sam now, but Sam will always wonder in the back of her mind if he will decide he wants Lulu back once she’s back.

Sam could easily decide she doesn’t want to wait for the inevitable and break things off with Dante. That would clear the path for Dante and Lulu to reunite.
