General Hospital spoilers tease that Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) is already at the center of a General Hospital internal investigation into the death of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
After a successful surgery during which Sam donated a portion of her liver, Sam should have been well on the road to recovery. But that’s not what happened. Instead, Sam suffered from a heart attack and died while still in recovery.
General Hospital Spoilers – Sam McCall Died From An Overdose Of Digitalis
Once the autopsy results finally came in, it was revealed that Sam’s heart attack was caused by an overdose of the drug knows as digitalis. But Sam wasn’t prescribed digitalis at all, leaving Co-Chief of Staff Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) to being an investigation.
Since Elizabeth was Sam’s nurse the day she died, Portia began to look into whether there was some sort of mix-up with the drugs Sam was given.
Of course, viewers now know that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) snuck into Sam’s room and injected the drug into Sam’s IV while she was sleeping.
GH Spoilers – Elizabeth Webber Will Soon Suspect Foul Play
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) may soon suffer a similar fate as Sam. If Dex also died from an overdose of digitalis, she’s going to realize that someone deliberately killed both Sam and likely Dex as well.
During a recent confrontation, Dex realized that Cyrus was on Sam’s floor at GH the same day Sam died.
If Dex has that information, it’s safe to assume that Elizabeth may also have seen Cyrus that day. But if Elizabeth lets on that she is suspicious, Cyrus could easily target her next.
General Hospital Spoilers – Lucky Spencer Will Keep His Family Safe
Elizabeth will surely confide her suspicions to Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson). Lucky won’t let anything happen to either Elizabeth or their son, Aiden Webber (Tristan Riggs).
He may decide to take a page from his own family’s history and take Elizabeth and Aiden and go on the run and into hiding.
Lucky knows that if Elizabeth doesn’t have any proof, then it’s just her word against Cyrus, and he would have no problems eliminating Elizabeth before she can find any damning evidence.
Besides, it’s not clear just how much power Cyrus still holds, he could hire someone to search for them. Can Lucky keep his family safe by going on the run?
What do you think?
Will Elizabeth begin to suspect Cyrus killed Sam? Will Dex soon become Cyrus’ next victim? What lengths will Lucky go to in order to keep Elizabeth and Aiden safe? Anything can happen in Port Charles so stay tuned to General Hospital airing weekdays on ABC.
