GH Spoilers: Kate Mansi Calls DOOL Star Billy Flynn Her “Leading Man” & Disses Lexi Ainsworth?

General Hospital (GH) actress Kate Mansi (Kristina Corinthos) may be on the ABC soap these days, but she hasn’t forgotten her hey day on Peacock’s Days of our Lives where she played Abigail DiMera.

Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) played her partner onscreen and she gave him a shout out on his 10th anniversary with the show. She also made a controversial comment about the GH actress she replaced, Lexi Ainsworth, and we have all the tea for you here.

Mansi played Abby on DOOL from 2011 to 2016 and from 2018 to 2020. She and Flynn’s characters were known as “Chabby” and were a definite hit with fans.

Flynn remains on the Peacock sudser and in an interview with Michael Fairman TV, Mansi recognized his outstanding body of work in daytime.

Mansi said “Billy will always be my leading man. I love Billy. I’m so excited and so proud of him. I think it’s such a terrific milestone. I’m not at all surprised. I think he will be a longstanding piece of history for Days of Our Lives, for sure.”

Marci Miller took over the role of Abby on DOOL but the character was killed off in 2022. Mansi joined GH in May 2023 as Kristina, replacing Lexi Ainsworth.

GH Spoilers – Lexi Ainsworth Played Kristina Corinthos

During her interview with Fairman Mansi addressed her taking over the role of Kristina from Ainsworth.

She said “I think that Kristina will always be someone who is of two worlds, right? She was raised by Sonny Corinthos. He has a moral code and all of those things she tells herself. But I think there’s some big things coming that will also be a really big shift in Kristina’s world that will change her perspective a bit.”

She added “I think when Lexi Ainsworth played the role, the character was also younger, and he had a different type of fatherly relationship with her. I feel like Mo and I can really go toe to toe on things.”

“Mo” is Maurice Benard who plays Kristina’s father Sonny Corinthos.

GH Spoilers – Kate Mansi’s Interesting Comments

Not every GH fan agreed with Mansi’s assessment of Ainsworth with one fan tweeting a clip of Ainsworth as Kristina, and Sonny, saying “Lexi/K had more fire at 17 than 37.”

Some responses were less than flattering with one fan tweeting “Yikes! She’s a bit dismissive of Lexi, isn’t she?” and “That’s really insulting to Lexi. Why would she say that?”
