GH Spoilers: Joshua Benard Exits Port Charles, Adam’s Story Over

General Hospital (GH) spoilers show that Joshua Bernard has finished up his stint as troubled teen Adam.

This week he took control over his life, with a little help from his friends, and Adam told his father that he is ready to live life in his own way, on his own terms. That means returning to PCU where he could switch from pre-med to become a music major.

Joshua, the son of GH icon Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), debuted on the ABC soap in 2018 when he played a younger version of Sonny in an episode celebrating the 25th anniversary of Benard’s debut.

Benard came back to the soap in the role of Adam in March 2022. He was seen infrequently and in September 2023 Adam was given a storyline of his own.

Benard nailed his portrayal of Adam, a co-ed who felt pressure from his parents to ace his pre-med program. Along the way Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) befriended him as they studied together.

Time after time she was there for him as he struggled to live an inauthentic life. At one point Joss rushed him to the hospital after he OD’d in the park.

GH spoilers – Joshua Benard Played Adam Wright

In his final episode that aired on Feb. 1, Adam was discharged from the hospital and stood up to his father. According to SOD Adam has been written out, but it’s possible he could pop back up from time to time.

Adam is enrolled at PCU with Joss and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and it seems likely they could at least mention him, hopefully revealing that his life is back on track and he is thriving.

Joshua Benard is an accomplished musician and he had the opportunity to showcase his skills on the show. On the Dec. 13 episode of GH, Trina and Josslyn encountered Adam with his guitar and they complimented his skill.

After the episode aired, the show’s Instagram posted: “Fun fact. The song Josslyn and Trina caught Adam tinkering with is actually a Joshua Benard original titled ‘Barely Alive.’”
