Several General Hospital stars have passed away in a short amount of time. Most recently was Johnny Wactor who was shot after catching some men attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car.
Johnny had just gotten off work as a bartender and was walking coworker to her vehicle. Jeff Kober (Cyrus Renault) speaks out about the deaths.
General Hospital Spoilers – Jeff Kober Has An Important Message To Share
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Jeff Kober has seen several cast member passes on since he began playing resident drug lord and older brother of Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) in the fictional town of Port Charles, New York. Cyrus came to town gunning for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) from the start.
Kober recently spoke to PEOPLE that we need to embrace life to the fullest because we never know when our time will come.
Kober admits that these losses affect him, especially when it is time to return to the set and they are no longer there. It is hard on the cast and crew to face the loss of anyone they work with sometimes on a daily basis.
GH Spoilers – Jeff Kober Reflects
“There are a couple of hard ones, you know,” Kober says. “It always makes me more aware of where I am and how I’m being. I want the last thing I’ve said to anyone to be something in the direction of ‘I love you and I’m grateful that you’re in my life.'”
“I don’t need to say that, but it would be great if people I was working with knew that. So that if one of us doesn’t show up again, that’s the memory,” he continued.
Kober says he is closest to Genie, “I would say I’m closest to her in that we both get excited when we can work together because both of us want to make it as rich as possible and, you know, find the dangerous areas of it and see what happens there.”
General Hospital Spoilers – Pays Tribute
General Hospital paid tribute to Johnny Wactor earlier this week. Wactor played Brando Corbin, Cyrus’ one time driver from 2020 to 2022. According to TV Line, the episode was concluded with a title card in memory of Johnny.
Of course, Johnny was murdered on May 25 while walking to his car after leaving work. His killers have still not been captured.
Along with Wactor, GH has also lost Jackie Zeman (Bobbie Spencer), but also Sonya Eddy (Epiphany Johnson), Billy Miller (Drew Cain), Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) and Jay Pickett (Lorenzo Alcazar in 2006, Detective David Harper in 2007).
