GH Spoilers: Jason’s Return Brings Fans Out In Force Pleading For Britt Westbourne’s Revival

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has returned to Port Charles, and fans are divided on who he should be spending his time with — just as soon as he’s a free man again, that is.

While many GH fans are aching for Jason to finally settle down with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), they also recognize his return leaves room for him to find out what happened to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

Moreover, if Jason’s a come back from the dead — again — why can’t Britt? If she does, what would that look like?

How would her absence be explained, and how would her survival be explained as well? While Thiebaud has shown no signs of coming back to GH, stranger things have happened. But we have to wonder how they would pull this off and just how many fans really want the chips to fall this way.

General Hospital Spoilers — Britt Westbourne Was Already Dying

At the time of Britt’s sudden death, she was caught off guard but also somehow at peace with knowing this way how she was going out.

She had a bit more of a say in how things went down than she would have dying from Huntington’s Disease in the years to come.

Her life being cut short by a poisoned hook came as some kind of blessing in disguise, ironically. She wouldn’t have to feel the pain of the deterioration that came with her diagnosis. She wouldn’t have to endure her loved ones watching her waste away.

While she didn’t ask for such an untimely death, she welcomed it once it arrived because it was better than the barrel she’d been staring down. So does her return make much sense?

If she somehow managed to survive being poisoned by The Hook Killer — aka Heather Webber (Alley Mills) — then wouldn’t she be returning with a progressively worsening case of Huntington’s anyway? Are we to believe she has somehow escaped both?

GH Spoilers – Hint She Could Still Return

While Britt’s return would bring serious questions to the table, they’re not impossible to answer.

Perhaps she and her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), had discovered Britt was being poisoned all along and didn’t really have Huntington’s.

Maybe Britt staged her death to spare her mother in some way from harm that could come to her — although that would’ve been on the fly considering she told no one she was slashed by The Hook earlier that evening.

But stranger things have happened in Port Chuck than a dying woman who was killed in a completely unexpected manner turning up alive and well.

General Hospital Spoilers — What Would That Mean For Carly Spencer?

If Britt were to return, that would throw quite a wrench into some hopeful fans’ desires for Jason to finally couple up with Carly.

Their marriage of convenience was cut short just as they were about to consummate it and take things to a whole new level — one we haven’t seen in decades.

When Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) barged into the bedroom, it was over before it started.

This time around, Sonny is happily on Jason’s opposing side, and that may serve to make way for him and Carly to be together in a way Sonny never would have approved of before.
