GH Spoilers: Is ‘Stone’ Back For Revenge, Or Something More?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers report a man calling himself ‘Stone’ has been making waves in Port Charles recently, and we’re all fairly sure that he’s a lot more than that. He’s ‘Stone Cold’ — aka Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) — and apparently, he’s got a score to settle.

While it’s not clear that it’s his personal beef he’s taking the mantle on, Jason is headed back to Port Charles soon to right some wrongs in someone’s book. But something tells us it’s not just revenge that he’s come home for.

While he might have a bone to pick with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and the other members of the local mafia ring, he may also be coming after Sonny as a means of making him pay for what he’s done to the one woman Jason cares about most — Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

If Jason is coming back as more of a Quartermaine version of himself than he was when he left, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that he might have a few chosen words for Sonny.

For a long time, Jason was convinced Sonny took him in when he needed cover and comfort, and molded him into someone he was proud to be — versus being a part of the Q family he couldn’t remember.

There is another side to that coin, and it speaks to the same dichotomy between Sonny and Karen Wexler (Marie Wilson) years ago that Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) have recently lamented.

Sonny didn’t encourage Jason to try to regain his memories or work things out with his family, despite being a man who insists family is everything.

Instead, he monopolized Jason’s injured state for his own gain. If Jason Quartermaine is back and recognizes that now, Sonny could be in serious danger.

From Jason’s point of view, Sonny was fairly successful at stealing away the love of his life, too.

The minute that he and Carly declared their true love for one another — a moment we’ve all been waiting decades for — Sonny barged in and tore their new union to bits.

When Jason comes home and makes it clear that he’s been the bad guy chasing after Sonny, it’s the first time that Carly’s loyalty to the mob master will truly be tested. At the end of the day, he is the father of her children.

That’s always been the moral compass she lived her life by — never betraying or forsaking him because of their children.

This time around, when she believes Jason has a valid reason to be angry with Sonny while her ex is icing her out anyway, will her loyalty falter?
