GH Spoilers: Is Sonny Off His Meds — And Did Ava Have Anything To Do With That?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers gush that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is far from acting like himself, and somehow his family has yet to question why.

Understanding that he’s been through some traumatic experiences lately with the people he thought he could trust the most, they may believe he’s bitter and angry — acting out against his own best interest. Little do they know, he’s being played like a fool by none other than Ava Jerome (Maura West).

When Sonny opened his home to Ava, he was still shackled to wifey, Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros).

But her exit left room for Ava to move in and take control of the situation — and she certainly hasn’t hesitated to paint herself as the only person in Sonny’s corner. How did she get him to believe that though?

General Hospital Spoilers — Everyone Else Faded to Black

Sonny is in a prime position for being taken advantage of right now. In fact, Ava has already managed to do that in several ways.

She has taken advantage of his hospitality, letting her stay with him while there is the threat of danger around her and Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola).

She’s taken advantage of his growing trust in her, withholding the truth all along about what she knew of Nina’s wrongdoings against Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

She even took advantage of his position in the mob to insert herself as a player in that high-stakes game again.

With everyone else being iced out by Sonny, she’s encouraged him to sink into his feelings of resentment against his loved ones — all in favor of her being the only person he can lean on.

GH Spoilers – Spill Things Look All Too Familiar

If Ava is already encouraging Sonny to make poor decisions, it’s not impossible that she has also supported or even suggested he go off of his meds.

It’s unclear whether this may be a decision he made that she’s merely fueling or going along with.

Otherwise, we could be readying for a reboot of the Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) era. Might Ava have swapped Sonny’s pills for placebos so that he thinks he’s still on his meds when he isn’t?

General Hospital Spoilers — Up To Her Old Tricks?

We’ve seen this before. It didn’t turn out well for anyone then, so we can’t imagine what Ava thinks she’s up to this time around.

She could have genuinely earned Sonny’s truth merely by becoming his best friend in his time of need.

Instead, she’s manipulating the situation to weaken him. What is her end game? Does she want full custody of Avery?
