GH Spoilers: Is Sam A Hypocrite for Holding Jason’s Career Choice Against Him?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers report Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is catching a lot of heat from GH fans for taking issue with her ex-husband’s lifestyle.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was the love of Sam’s life once upon a time, and now he seems to be her arch nemesis. If only it were that black and white.

Two weeks ago, she was twisted up in knots over knowing Jason was being forced to cooperate as an FBI informant because of information they were holding over his head.

She knew that information could have been about anyone — including Jason. Sam was determined to find out what the FBI was using against him — all in the name of helping him.

But once she learned it was Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) he was protecting, she quickly changed her tune and reverted back to being dismayed with the guy. When will the flip-flopping and judgment stop? It’s not as though Sam’s hands are clean.

Meanwhile, the fans still can’t get over the fact that Sam abandoned her marriage with Jason after so many years of trying to pin him down.

She was in love with him for so long and seemed to let her fear of losing him push him out the door — insisting his lifestyle was too dangerous for a family man, as though he wasn’t embroiled in that lifestyle from the day they first met.

Recently, she made similar moves in her relationship with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), citing her problems with his career as a cop even though he was a boy in blue when they got together. What gives, Sam?

While Sam might waffle a lot on what she expects from the men in her life, she also holds them to a higher standard than she holds herself.

Being a private investigator hasn’t always kept her on the right side of the law. In fact, she’s broken it a number of times, long since she let go of her past as a con woman.

She may have grown far beyond marrying old men to scam them out of their millions, but it’s not out of the realm of possibilities to expect she’ll get tangled up in illegal work from time to time. Does that really make her any more superior to Jason?

General Hospital Spoilers — Her Future Isn’t Stain-Free Either

Most recently, Sam got wrapped up in trying to help Jason, and that led to her commissioning Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to hack into the FBI’s evidentiary database. When she told Dante about what she and Spinelli did, she was completely nonchalant about it.

Her only concern was that Jason placed Carly’s safety above everyone else’s well-being — including his sons. She didn’t bat an eye about the work she did or the risk of her getting caught.

She also didn’t think twice about telling Dante — a cop — that she broke federal laws, leaving him in an awfully uncomfortable position. The fans are raging that Sam needs to climb down off her high horse and take a good long look in the mirror. Do you agree?
