GH Spoilers: Is John Cates Behind Morgan Corinthos’ Fake Death, Too?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Morgan Corinthos, last played by actor Bryan Craig, could be on the cusp of a return.

Sure, he “died” in 2018, but no one is ever truly dead in the land of soaps, right? Executive Producer Frank Valentini hinted toward a “male character” returning, during an interview at the Daytime Emmys.

This sent fans buzzing with speculation, and Bryan Craig has since been offering major hints on social media.

Assuming Morgan returns in a non-ghostly role, how will he make his way back into storylines?

General Hospital Spoilers – John “Jagger” Cates – Is He A Good Guy Or A Bad Guy?

GH spoilers suggest that some fans are still on the fence about John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington). The FBI agent used to be a “hero” (when played by Antonio Sabato Jr.).

However, since he returned, he’s been teetering. He’s laser-focused on bringing Pikeman down, but his methods are sometimes sketchy.

John holding those RICO charges against Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) over Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) head has rubbed fans the wrong way; suspecting Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) as the leader of Pikeman seems odd, too. Could he also be behind Morgan’s disappearance?

GH Spoilers – John Cates Hates Sonny Corinthos

Jason was presumed dead for so long because of John and his FBI cronies. They scooped him up once he escaped the tunnel collapse in Greece, and blackmailed him into becoming a mercenary, having his friends and family believe he was dead.

Could Morgan be in the same situation?

Maybe he’s on an unknown mission for Cates, possibly brainwashed or trained by the FBI to become an assassin or agent.

Either way, John being the reason why Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly believed their son was dead for so long would be the ultimate revenge against the mob boss. Especially if John has established a bond with Morgan during his time away from Port Charles
