GH Spoilers: In the End, It May Be Portia Who Helps Set Heather Free

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) has no idea how good he’s got it right now. On the warpath to figure out what went wrong with Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) lab work at GH, he will soon piece together the puzzle and find Dr. Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) at the center of it.

Did Portia mess with Heather’s blood sample to ensure her results made it look like she was never poisoned by that faulty hip implant? He won’t have to prove it.

He’ll only have to make it look like he can to Portia to get her positioned squarely under his thumb. Right now, Portia can’t help but feel she needs to go up against anyone trying to get Heather out of prison. So imagine everyone’s shock when she starts arguing the opposite.

We can bet that once Ric figures out what he thinks happened here, he’s not going to hold back in taking action. That being said, he’s not always been known for following the formal or legal channels when addressing any kind of dispute.

If he thinks it may serve him better to get Portia in line with his own agenda, he’ll gladly use the back door method to approach her. Will she cave to his pressures and oblige him in whatever he wants — even if it means going against her original goal in the first place?

GH Spoilers – Tease the Good Doctor Makes  A Choice

Portia was noticeably nervous when she told Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) about the good news that Heather wouldn’t be getting out of prison — merely because she knows it’ll only stay that way as long as no one ever finds out what she did fudging the lab results.

If Ric presents Portia with the opportunity to save her career and her reputation by following in line with his demands, she’ll likely concede to the blackmail.

Further, there is no way she would want Trina or Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to find out what she did. And of course, she definitely doesn’t want to end up in jail herself while Heather is on her way out from behind bars.

Ultimately, we know that even if Portia takes Ric’s bait and works with him, no one else is going to understand her erratic behavior. For months, she has been on a tirade about keeping Heather in prison where she feels she belongs.

She even went so far as to threaten Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and promised to publicly campaign against her if she gave Heather an assist.

So, if Ric’s plan is for Portia to help — perhaps by testifying in court — Heather seek her freedom, it’s not going to make a bit of sense to anyone — but especially not to Curtis, Trina, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson), and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett).
