GH Spoilers: Hottest Story Of The Previous Week – Cody Comes Clean!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the 4th of July continued into this week on General Hospital. As the fireworks lit up the sky, a couple set of Port Charles residents made fireworks of their own, although in quite different way.

First of all, there was the kiss between Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Matheson) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) that’s sure to cause lots of drama in the coming weeks.

But down in the stables of the Quartermaine mansion, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) made a stunning confession to Mac Scorpio (John J York).

General Hospital Spoilers – Cody Bell could have inherited millions of dollars

As viewers know, when Cody first came to town, Mac believed that Cody could possibly be his son. Cody’s mother Dominique Baldwin (Shell Danielson) was involved with both Mac and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).

While the possibility that Cody was Scotty’s son was pretty quickly dismissed, Mac remained a quite likely candidate. But Cody needed to be the heir of Leopald Taub (Chip Lucia) in order to inherit an extremely valuable diamond necklace, made with some of the diamonds from the infamous Ice Princess.

GH Spoilers – Cody Bell lied to Mac Scorpio

When Mac wanted a DNA test, Cody agreed to have one done. But since Cody ordered the test, he was the only one who had access to the results. Even though Mac was proven to be Cody father, Cody lied so he could inherit the necklace.

Later, the WSB confiscated the necklace anyway so Cody’s lies were for nothing. But by then, Cody didn’t feel worthy of being Mac’s son so he kept up the lie. Mac’s wife, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) didn’t trust the first results so she secretly planned a second test.

Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) knew that Cody wasn’t ready to tell Mac, so she intercepted Felicia’s DNA sample of Cody and replaced it with her own.

So even though Cody maintained the lie, he also formed close relationship with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and James West (Gary James Fuller). When Mac finally returned to Port Charles, Cody couldn’t hold the truth in any longer.

So while he and Mac bonded in the stables, Cody blurted out the truth. Mac was not amused that Cody has been lying all this time and refuses to forgive Cody for it.

Cody considered leaving town, but both Maxie and Sasha convinced him not to leave. Mac will likely eventually forgive Cody, but he’s not going to make it easy for him.
