GH Spoilers: Finn Realizes Something About Gregory-Rushes To Perform New Medical Tests?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will realize something about his father, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison).

Finn starts to wonder if his father was diagnosed correctly because of something he sees, and rushes to perform new medical tests.

General Hospital Spoilers – His Father Had Previously Been Diagnosed With Lyme Disease

The first time that Finn had seen his father in years, he’d come to him with a diagnosis of Lyme Disease, and although Finn wouldn’t make up with him he treated him.

He soon returned to his teaching job in California after Finn was able to help him with a protocol and for years after he was good as cured.

After they were able to clear up the misunderstandings and hurt caused by Finn’s sleeping with Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) close to her and Greg’s marriage they made amends.

What really turned the tide was their working together to get Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) healed from Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) poison.

The father and the two sons have been close ever since and Gregory’s very close to his granddaughter Violet Finn (Jophielle Love).

GH Spoilers – Hamilton Finn Notices A Symptom Inconsistent With ALS

Gregory kept secret for months that he’d been diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease which is always a death sentence.

He didn’t want his family to know now that they had become close, he kept it veiled in secrecy, and until Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) snooped it was secret.

When Finn found out, he asked his father about the diagnosis and if the diagnosis was sure, although he didn’t ask to see the medical records.

Finn notices a symptom inconsistent with ALS, and remembers his father’s Lyme Disease diagnosis-Lyme is frequently misdiagnosed as ALS and vice-versa, but Lyme isn’t necessarily fatal.

General Hospital Spoilers – Of Course He Explains Why He Wants His Father Retested

Of course Finn explains why he wants Greg retested-and he wants to do it himself to make sure of no errors; after what he’s just been through he trusts no one.

He just came through a malpractice case smacking of fraud where an unethical doctor may have been paid off to testify against him, and Greg understands that completely.

When Finn explains the things ALS and Lyme Disease have in common and they’re often misdiagnosed as each other, Gregory’s completely on board.

Even if Greg’s Lyme was thought to be completely gone when Finn treated him several years ago, it could have just gone into remission and he wasn’t rechecked. If there’s a chance that it’s the Lyme and not ALS, that is a miracle Gregory wants!
