GH Spoilers: Fans Are Clammoring: Bring Back Phyllis!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) is going through the motions trying to make sense of her divorce from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Ava Jerome (Maura West) was as cold as ice when she delivered the crushing blow to Nina that the man she thought she fell in love with — ‘Mike’ of Nixon Falls — was a mere mirage.

Is Nina finally admitting that to herself? Will she move on from this divorce as gracefully as she granted it? Handing the divorce papers over to Ava — with all its symbology of handing her husband over to her former best friend — came as a surprise. This isn’t typical Nina behavior.

Are we about to see her go off the rails as much as her soon-to-be ex-husband is? Will anyone notice Sonny isn’t quite himself? Who will get Nina through this tragedy?

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Reeves Needs A Friend

Nina is awfully isolated these days. We’re surprised that her old friend Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) hasn’t been brought out of the shadows since Sonny kicked Nina to the curb.

Likewise, Ava hasn’t exactly been devoting her time to Nina — or keeping her apprised of the situation back at the penthouse.

Of course, Nina knows why now, but she tolerated Ava’s distance for quite some time and needed to watch it all play out in front of her eyes at the Metro Court before she could really understand what her so-called friend had been up to.

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is always in Nina’s corner, but she doesn’t love what her sister-in-law did to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). She wasn’t about to feel bad for her in light of her betrayal being revealed to Sonny.

In short, Nina doesn’t really have anyone standing by her side. A borderline ally like Drew won’t get her through the night, and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) clearly isn’t as available to her as he used to be.

GH Spoilers – Question Whether Revenge Is In The Works

Nina certainly hasn’t been acting like herself this past week. Signing over the Metro Court was typical for her.

She thought it would be a show of good faith and a signal to Sonny that she was amenable to making right on her wrongs.

Little did she know her soon-to-be ex-husband loathes Jason more than anyone right now and believes he tried to kill him. Nina sure is out of the loop!

Signing the divorce papers as though she was accepting defeat and giving Sonny over to Ava wasn’t exactly Nina’s style either.

We can’t believe she’s giving up; there must be more to the story. Further, her daytime romp with Drew was completely out of character for her, and it doesn’t seem to be getting her anything in the aftermath of what was clearly a mistake on both their parts.

Will Nina come to use that one-day stand in continued pursuit of revenge against Carly? It’s possible she may have her sights set on a bigger target now: Ava.

General Hospital Spoilers — Phyllis Caulfield To The Rescue?

Nina is in desperate need of a guiding light in her life to redirect her energy and get back on track. Crimson can only hold her together so well.

Without her family to lean on and friends in her corner who want to see her succeed, she could very well spiral as badly as Sonny is in the coming weeks and months.

Nina was on top of her game when she thought she had it all, and it was Phyllis who acted as a barometer of truth and gave Nina someone to aspire to be more like.

Can we get her back in the picture to give Nina a pick-me-up and set her straight?
