GH Spoilers: Evan Hofer Takes Giovanni Mazza Under His Wing, Co-Star Offers Mentorship

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri has burst onto the Port Charles scene and has caught the attention of Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali); however, off-screen, soap newcomer Giovanni Mazza is learning the daytime ropes, and getting a ton of help from his GH co-stars.

General Hospital Spoilers – Giovanni Mazza Gets By With A Little Help From His Friends

GH spoilers note that since Gio arrived at the little town, he’s slowly, but surely, making friends. It doesn’t hurt that he happens to be related to Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) and Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) and has extended family connections to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).

With that being said, Mazza has also made friends on-set with Kate Mansi (Kristina Corinthos-Davis) and Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks), who helped him out on his first day.

Gio tells Soap Opera Digest (SOD) recently that Maurice has also been helpful, too, noting that, “One of my very first scenes with Mo, and oh, man, just as an actor, he’s an absolute powerhouse. But at the same time, he’s so calm!

We were actually talking about it, and he said that the very most important thing is to have ease when you’re acting and listening to the other person (in a scene).

I really took that as advice and I just started focusing on how I could ease myself into the character, ease myself into the scene, and just kind of calm everything down to be able to comfortable level.”

GH Spoilers – Evan Hofer Has Been Like A Mentor

Mazza also tells SOD that Evan Hofer (Dex Heller) has been someone who has offered tips and “lean on”. He notes that Hofer has been very nice and showed him how he handles and processes things. Gio adds that Evan is just “a great person” who’s always prepared.

Hofer has also offered assistance to Mazza when it comes to memorizing lines, as the production pace on a soap opera can be very fast. Gio closes the SOD interview by stating that Evan is a person he looks up to on the show and someone he aspires to be like.
