General Hospital Spoilers – Dominic Zamprogna Thought It Was A “Beautiful Send-Off”

Zamprogna starts off by telling SOD that leading up to filming Sam’s funeral, it was a situation where he wanted to show up and was hoping things would click. He states, “…it was a beautiful send-off. It was a beautiful day of monologues and stories. And let me tell you, standing in front of, you know, 30 of your peers [and delivering a scripted eulogy] is not easy! It’s really kind of crazy saying good-bye to a fictional character.

The actor adds, “There was a lot of real emotion on that day, and when you see your fellow actors bringing it, you just hope you can bring it, too.”

GH Spoilers – Everyone Felt The Emotion

Zamprogna tells SOD that he was impressed by the love that was felt in the room that day. He adds there was so much support and love for Kelly Monaco, despite her not being there – and there was love and support for each other, too.

The actor notes, “A lot of people who were there had been on the show for a long time and when you’re up there, in front of your peers acting and you look out and look into their eyes and they’re crying because of what you’re saying, it means a lot. It was a sad day, but a day filled with a lot of support for everyone and from everyone.”

Zamprogna also tells SOD that he’s committed to the long-term effects that Sam’s loss will have on Dante. He states that he put so much into Dante where his love for Sam is concerned, and this can’t just go away or be lessened.

He notes, “When a person in real life falls in love with somebody, and if they lose that person, they don’t just move on. [That loss] is devastating and real and I want to try my best to bring that to every scene that I’m in.”
